LIVING IN MEXICO - WEEK 4 - VLOG

hi guys thought i will do a vlog it's been uh four weeks now in mexico because a lot of you want to know i just realized my camera is a bit dirty oh yeah that's much better oh it's like steamy well i am steamy i'm just joking my hair is absolutely mad here the humidity is like straight and curly someone told me about some curly girl method sorry guys if this is crazy but i might try that out and my big curly girl who knows anyway i just wanted to update you what's happening so i am still living in a hotel it's um i don't know if i should did a room tour there's not much to see there's the whole room um and there's a bathroom and stuff and very very tiny very very noisy i haven't really slept properly in the last you know two weeks that i've been here i've got another two weeks left i have started looking at the apartments i figured out you know figured out that there is a cheaper way to get apartments which i should have kind of known but i didn't so if you ever move into any country always look actually at facebook marketplace or local um real estate agents but sometimes you know if you haven't if you don't live in a city how can you find the local estate agent so it's kind of you know it's a complicated procedure but anyway i've looked at loads of flats also one recommendation to give you you know if you're moving anywhere never ever just buy or book or put deposit on and any flat that you see online unfortunately a lot of the photos didn't match the actual apartment so yesterday i saw i think six flats sorry my whatsapp going crazy so i saw about six flats uh the first four flats literally nothing like the photo tiny tiny room with a kitchen uh inside similar to this hotel room you know but it's a hotel and um yeah just not impressive the pool as well looks so huge in a photo and then in real life it's like tiny they took like really good angles so it looks you know it looks like it's big but it's not the other pool was moldy and you know another flat that i saw you won't even believe this it wasn't even finished like it was half done you know like the shower is missing i know the toilet was leaking i don't know the the balcony has like no rails anyway it was just weird it was like it was like through a construction and they said what when is it supposed to finish and the guy was like oh no we'll finish it in one hour today if you're gonna move in and obviously unfortunately you know let's let's pretend well let's kind of be realistic that's not gonna happen is it um yeah i i just don't fall for these kind of things i think if you're buying a product it needs to be finished and ready so yeah i wasn't impressed and i kind of was like oh my god and then later on in the evening i saw another two flats and one of them was very modern brand new very tiny but massive pool and a rooftop which looked really cool like really cool area to hang out and just you know do your work um and then i saw the second well the sixth flat of the day as well similar area a bit further out and um yeah much bigger flat not like much much but like bigger flat and um it had two balconies as well but much smaller pool so yeah so i think i've decided to go with a bigger flat because to be honest at the end of the day a lot of you messaged me and you were like you know it's better to have more space um i did a poll on my instagram and uh a lot of you were like it's better to have more space it's better you know to have bigger environment and you can always swim or go to a pool beach or whatever so i think that totally makes sense so i've contacted the real estate agent today so hopefully i'll sign the contract today or tomorrow first thing in the morning which is very very exciting because that means i will have a kitchen i will have a good bed and i'll have no clubs um in the back you know in the back here honestly it's a clubbing every single night different type of music sometimes i don't mind it because it's like you know more relaxing like literally a few days like full on trance you know like trance electronic music walls are pumping um really difficult to sleep and then you wake up a bit annoyed so it's been it's been difficult for me it's been challenging um but when i come outside when i go for a walk on the beach all of that kind of goes away honestly the weather the the sea the ocean whatever the daily walks um I just feel still much much happier here even though the environment that I'm in right now is not perfect but I know I'm leaving and it's not forever so yeah everything's going well so far I'm training I've got loads of work to do so I've got like my little routine going on you know I go for my walk then I work all day then I go to the gym then I work all day I literally take about two to three showers a day here because it is hot and you know you sweat a so honestly i haven't taken this many showers in the day in a long time um but yeah so far everything is going well i'm really happy so the flats that i was looking at they're on the more expensive side so they're around five to six hundred pounds a month but that's kind of my budget um i couldn't find anything when i first came here because it was also easter period so it was like triple the prices and even now if i go to Airbnb and Airbnb or booking.com the prices are much much higher literally three or twice as much as if you go directly with a estate agent or like a private person so yeah um and you know these flats that i found the one i found it's like 15 minute walk to the beach 15 minute walk to the gym um you know close to the supermarket and it's quiet so bingo for me i guess so that's why i'm happy i found something within my budget another thing here in mexico which is strange is that all the bills are included in your accommodation apart from electricity and electricity is you know your laptop your um like conditioner so that you know basically i suppose if you want to be cool and not hot you will have to pay more which is a bit random isn't it but i guess it's just how it is it's apparently it's really expensive here in mexico so uh yeah that's kind of uh interesting difference the weather actually a lot of you also ask me like you know isn't it hot isn't it too hot actually in reality it's quite windy so I don't actually feel the heat that much it's only if you like exercising moving a lot or you know doing like a lot of physical work then it does get hot because you know it's like you're sweating and then it's not like that like fresh outside but honestly during the day like even like during the hottest time of the day like two three o'clock it's comfortable for me like it's 25 it's comfortable for me it's like 25 26 degrees and it's pretty cool like i like it it's windy and it's refreshing and yeah i'm not finding it too hot at all it's actually a pretty good environment and i am told that in may it's gonna get super hot so we shall see uh we shall see i have no idea and um yeah everything's going well so far I mean I haven't really had time to do or see anything which I'm planning to do next kind of weeks you know once I settle down I want to do some excursions and maybe meet more new people because right now I'm also in transformation so I can't really eat anything I can't go out for any food I don't drink because I'm on transformation and I don't want to drink right now so like what else is there to do if you can't eat or drink it's it's kind of hard to um you know find activities apart from like active stuff so i am a bit i'm a bit isolated in that sense but i think once i get into you know accommodation sorted and things like that i'm gonna get go out more and meet more people um and start learning spanish hopefully in two weeks so yeah lots of amazing plans um hopefully you enjoyed the update let me know what else you want to know um i am also planning to go to some mexican cooking classes and then maybe i'll do a live
