All right, now let's get back to Nightmare on Smith Street.
We are actually at an amazing and free haunted house.
You heard it, free.
It's the Mukherjee Haunted House.
And Sam is going to tell us where it is and why it is.
Hi, Sam.
Thank you, Fox News viewers and Fox News for doing this.
But yeah, this is the Mukherjee Law Firm free haunted house.
It's our fifth year of doing it.
I'm here with my friend, Mark,
who is the artist, along with my other friend, Sean.
Anything that's not moving, which is most of this,
has been hand designed by Mark and Sean,
and with a couple of helpers.
And it's gotten bigger and better every year.
You're near the entrance of the haunted house.
It is at our office building in Midtown Houston,
2405 Smith Street, Houston, Texas, 77006,
right in front of the biggest Spec's Liquor Store in Houston.
And yeah, there's plenty of parking,
there's lot parking, there's street parking.
It's this Friday, October 23rd,
and this Saturday, October 24th.
And we were gonna give you a quick tour of this place,
but real quick, Mark, you wanna tell them a little bit
about what you've done?
Oh yeah, we just kind of created immersive rooms
experiences where you can come
and find yourself transported into a wonderful
fantastical world.
Each room kind of follows a different theme and we try to
be consistent about it.
So what age range are we looking for here? Who's welcome?
I think ultimately it's at the discretion of the parents but if it was
myself I would say a minimum age of five.
Upstairs is a little bit scarier but
there's a quick exit in both directions that the kids
are getting too scared too soon but my own
kids have been here my youngest started coming here
when she was six years old and she'll be
almost 11 this time there's like multiple rooms
that we go through yeah every each room has a
different theme most of it is scary some
of it's just cool this is probably the least scary room
but still very very cool and sci-fi looking oh yeah
this is cool invasion of the aliens yeah
the lime green and tangerine aliens i glow in the dark
so will uh there be little possibilities of
scary things popping out at you there will be live actors friday
and saturday uh mark himself
is one of the more fun, active, slightly scary live actors.
Sean will be dressing up.
Sometimes I dress up.
This is a room that I find the scariest myself.
I've been deathly afraid of dolls since I can remember.
Why, Sam, do you do this every year?
The reason we do this is plain and simple.
We want to give back.
I'm from Alief, Texas.
I grew up from humble beginnings.
I've been fortunate enough to go to college, law school,
build a thriving law practice.
we own the office building here in midtown
at 2405 Smith we have we've had a lot of free empty
space I've been fortunate enough to be friends with Sean
and Mark they've got very strong
artistic talents and we kind of just put our minds
and our resources and money together
to build this in a way to give back
that for those who want to go to a free haunted house
As a child growing up, I couldn't afford the $20,
$30 it cost to go to a really nice haunted house.
And these days it's $40, $50, $80 to go,
which I'm sure it's worth the money.
But I promise you this is better than most paid haunted houses.
Definitely the best free haunted house in all of Texas.
Come on over.
