-- In this video I am alone in the wilderness, I show the bushcraft gear I brought for my camp, and show my plans to build an overnight shelter from a tarp. The full trip video will be up this Friday. Thanks, and I hope you enjoy!
Hey guys, thanks for clicking on the video.
I'm on an isolated lake all by myself.
Paddled and portage to get in here all day.
Got my gear here.
Thought I'd go through the gear I have
for this camp in this video.
So this is going to be a stationary tarp camp
with a wool blanket.
Bushcraft style, you know?
So, what do we got?
On the outside, this is my backpack.
This is my Hidden Woodsman Day Ruck
made by my friend Malcolm.
I got my wool blanket.
This is an Italian wool blanket.
Very warm, very good blanket.
That's all I'll need, not supposed to get too cold.
On the inside of it, I actually rolled up my Reflectix in with it,
so that I didn't have to take up any room inside my backpack.
And, inside the Reflectix and the wool blanket,
I rolled in my Agawa Canyon Boreal 21 saw.
I like to have a decent sized saw when I'm out here,
and especially by myself,
and it doesn't fit inside the backpack.
so rolling it up in the bottom
of the bedroll worked just fine. My bedroll, my Reflectix, my
saw. I had to take this off early
on, this is my Fall Raven granite shirt. I had to take that
off early on, it was super super warm. I
also got my boys axe, this is a Gränsfors Bruk 26 inch axe
used a whole lot, very well loved. Got
my side pocket some paracord and a space blanket
other side pockets got
my heavy cover titanium canteen empty
they drink it all on the way in
i've got my cup and that's all
the titanium set all right
in the bag proper see i've got my
patches from malcolm and my scope patch
on there too okay right on the top i got my nine by nine
sail nylon tarp that's gonna be
my shelter i've got my old camera
small tripod joby pod i've got my
My Primloft, it's the uplink 2 with the hood, fancy fancy.
I've got my heavy cover frying pan,
that's titanium also.
My first aid kit, toothbrush,
stuff like that in there too.
This is my food, I've got a steak,
I've got some dehydrated chili, I've got a beer in here,
I've got some granola bars, this thing is packed to the nines.
Malcolm put my little logo on there too, for me.
It's another Hidden Woodsman pack, not a pack, possible pouch.
I've got clothes. I've got in here, what do I have?
Extra socks, I know that.
I've got a shemagh, extra socks, long sleeve shirt,
long johns, and I wanted to make sure I was warm,
so I brought a little bit of extra clothes.
Having only the wool blanket and no sleeping pad,
I was just doubling up on the clothes.
Possible's pouch everything in there plus
my knife using my Algonquin Joe Robinette
Algonquin knife still loving that thing
The original blue foam pad got my grill these grills are back
in stock by the way. They're on my site check it out
JoeRobinette.com
Everybody's been asking for them some fish crisp. Oh
You see that walking bear magnet
now just a little lens cloth
I'll take you over
to where I'm setting up
my shelter I still have
to get a ridge
pole a couple ridge poles
but yeah that'll that'll be in the main video the
actual trip video but see
these two trees here I'm gonna tie a ridge pole
across that way
and then another one going down on an angle down to the back
and have myself in a little like flying
triangle type tarp shelter so that's
what I'm gonna do now I'm off to go cut
those ridge poles I'll let this video be
done so come on over check out the trip video
if you're interested in that thanks
for watching if you have any questions let me know
and I'll see you guys soon
