Champions League, my friend, that's right.
The action came back.
And Camila, to say that it was a historical matchday is, you know,
I'm falling short because what we saw displayed by Real Madrid,
I hate to say it because Real Madrid, you know, is a rich team,
is an affluent team, is a team that can do it all.
And when it comes to Champions League, it seems like they just have
a different relationship with this competition.
There's something that happens within
Real Madrid that changes the script.
Please tell me how crazy it was to beat Roma.
Beat up 3-0 and then find yourself
in less than 10 minutes losing 3-4 to Real Madrid.
Yeah, it was a wild game.
I mean, this was match day to set
a record for 78 goals across two nights.
This is absolutely insane.
I think this 36-team format is rewarding attacking teams.
And it is ultimately punishing some sloppy
defending like we saw in this game.
I think Mbappe especially,
he really sparked this comeback from Real Madrid.
I know there's a lot of drama and controversy around this entire game,
but it was incredible to watch along with other games.
We have to talk about that PSG-Man City.
PSG winning 4-2. This was Man City's first loss so far.
Yeah. I mean, PSG looks just completely
at a different tier than the rest of the teams.
I most likely will see PSG win their third straight Champions League
because it's a spoil of riches, really, the depth of that squad.
Every single player that has a chance
to line up will play at the highest level.
And although Manchester City was able to have some level of reaction
towards the second half with the adjustment to the lineup,
it was incredible to see how PSG really is running fast and solo
at the point of the competition.
Now, I want to go back to the Real Madrid game
because I want to highlight the player
that for me was really, really critical
and it's going to be critical to talk about him
on our next segment when we start previewing
El Clásico de la Liga Barcelona vs. Real Madrid
at the return of their camp now.
But Real Madrid, to see Arda Güler,
a player that in the World Cup
we were expecting a lot with him and Turkey
and not only him but also the team
let us down a little bit.
The level of Turkey in the World Cup
was great but it seemed like Arda Güler came back
from that experience thinking well i'm going to
win it all with Real Madrid and the precision
and surgical precision that he had on the corner kicks
on this game putting two corner kicks right where they need
to be with the advantage of the running
player to just head
those in really really impressive yeah absolutely i mean we have a
couple other teams that i want
to highlight obviously Barcelona coming from behind to beat
Galatasaray, 4-1, and Istanbul, obviously,
Lamine Yamal being the name, the best player in the game.
They have 10 straight wins in all competitions,
definitely a team to beat.
Arsenal, also having an incredible win, 3-0 over Lille.
I think this is a team with no goals conceded and two straight wins,
so this is definitely a team they've
been showing consistently in this consistency, in this form,
but also in the defending, having no goals scored on.
Tell me, I'm pulling the table
so we can share with our friends the reality of the competition.
Like you said, Barcelona, with Hansi Flick at the helm,
has become one of the most dangerous teams in Europe.
They have a perfect record in La Liga
and seven points clear of Real Madrid at the top.
They are second place in the competition, just behind PSG.
And I think that those two are the team to beat again.
Aston Villa, again, repeating a great performance in the competition.
And below that, Stuttgart, Liverpool,
Sporting CP, Arsenal, Real Madrid and Real Betis.
All of these teams that I mentioned, Camila,
are the only ones that won their first two games.
It's really, really tight at the top.
We will see on matchday number three
who are really the ones that are dominating this competition
and who are the ones that started really hot.
But I want to talk about Bayern Munich really having a painful,
painful drop of two points with that last-minute tie.
Bayern Munich is not the team that is associated with defensive lapses,
especially in critical moments and in critical teams
What do you think happened with this team? I want to pull
Data of the stats exactly for that game. Yeah, absolutely. I mean,
I think for me I had such high expectations for Bayern coming into
Champions League. This is just not a team
that I see lose concentration lose focus
I mean, we saw last year them getting so far into the Champions League.
And this was just a little bit sloppy, in my opinion.
It's definitely going to come back to bite them.
Those points are going to matter a lot in the end.
So, yeah, we'll see.
