Suspect wanted in Northeast DC gas station store robbery

First up this half hour, new surveillance video in an effort to track down a violent robbery suspect. Fox 5's Shamari Stone has this story tonight from Northeast. Tonight we've learned that the suspect was wearing a distinctive outfit. D.C. police say that he came into this gas station here in Northeast, walking past the chips, the Big Mama sausages, and the candy bars here. Little did he know that there was a camera in here that captured his every move. Take a look at this guy dressed in all black, a Nike beanie, tank top, jogging pants, and red and black sneakers. He walks in the Shell gas station on the 900 block of Brentwood Road Northeast Sunday morning on September 13th with a cigarette in his mouth, wearing dark shades with gold color on the frame, dressed like he's starring in a 90s rap video. Police say this is the suspect, who also appears to have white marks on his arm, who beat up someone, stealing the person's things. you're now going to hear from some people who hope that police make an arrest. Look at the picture of him. Did his wife beat his shirt? I mean, I think the police are catching him. You know, it's all types out here. It's all types. So, you know, I don't know if that's his everyday outfit, but it's very distinctive, and they will get him. Police are offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest and a conviction. If you recognize the suspect, call police. They want to put him behind bars. I'm Shamari Stone. Back to you.
