New technology could be a game changer
for other families still searching for answers.
Bailey Bockover is joining us live this evening.
So, Bailey, there are many other missing persons cases here
in Central Florida still waiting to be solved.
Luanne, after the arrest in Michelle Parker's case 15 years later,
it's giving other families hope
that new developments will arise for them as well,
like Michelle Tullis, whose sister Sarah Ebersole disappeared
from a Marion County gas station back in March of 2023.
It's been more than three years since Sarah Ebersole vanished.
Last seen getting into a car at a gas station in Reddick.
Her sister, Michelle Tullis, has refused to let her name fade away.
Without me, without the voice of me for Sarah,
I feel like Sarah would be forgotten.
And there wouldn't kind of be a knock
on the deputy's door, the detective's,
kind of knowing that I'm not going to give up on the search for Sarah.
So neither should they.
That drive got a major boost
this week after Orlando police arrested Dale Smith Jr.
in the 2011 disappearance of Michelle Parker.
Tullis says she hopes the developments in Parker's case
can help provide a boost that helped detectives
in Marion County crack this case.
Detectives in Marion County identified a person of interest early on,
but the case is still unsolved.
Tullis believes the community still holds the key to breaking it open.
Without the community, it really truly does take a village.
Without everyone kind of keeping
this aware online that Sarah's missing.
A reminder that no matter how much time passes,
one tip can turn a cold case into an arrest.
Anyone with information on Sarah Ebersole's case
is urged to call the Marion County Sheriff's Office.
Reporting live, Bailey Bockover, Fox 35 News.
