do you know what's on your ballot?
That's a big question.
Well, New Yorkers will have a number of questions
to answer on the back of the ballot.

There will be five questions on your ballot on November 3rd.
Five questions and five possible changes to how New York City operates.

the proposal's main goals are to make city government more
efficient they essentially ask whether city hall is faster
while keeping residents involved in
decisions that affect their daily lives proposal

space including outdoor dining potentially cutting wait times
from eight months to two
Proposal 2 would streamline city contracts,
helping small businesses and non-profits get
approved faster. Proposal 3 would fast-track bike lanes
and street safety projects, while also
making it easier to sell or lease certain city properties.
Proposal 4 would create a one-stop
shop for building permits,
making construction approvals easier to navigate. And Proposal 5,
Think of it as the city's savings account or rainy day fund.
It would set a target to save 12% of city tax revenue
for future financial emergencies.
Some of these really do affect a lot
of everyday aspects of what living in the city is like.
Voting for something and having the city say they'll
do it is different than it actually being implemented.
