A US Space Force general says China has built a kill mesh in orbit, and the part that worried him has nothing to do with the 13,000 satellites in the headline. China has launched fewer than 200 of those.

This video starts where the viral clip stopped: five Chinese satellites caught flying close formation in low orbit, and Shijian-21 towing a dead satellite out of geostationary orbit in 2022. Then Guowang, the constellation sold as broadband, and why its radar, optical cameras, laser links between satellites and a 1,145 km revisit orbit point at a second job. Then why a mesh, unlike a kill chain, has no single link you can cut.

And the half the briefing leaves out. The United States already flies its own version, Starlink and Starshield, and commercial satellite internet has been folded into targeting over Ukraine. Both capitals point at the other side's satellites when budgets are due. China is further behind than the 13,000 suggests. The danger was never in that number.
