An "On This Day" memory popped up, and I couldn’t help but smile. Exactly one year ago, my sisters and I took Mama out for her birthday lunch. What made it even more special was that Mama’s best friend (and my Godmother) joined us.

The laughter, the smiles, the joy… these are the kinds of moments I cherish most. Living with dementia can be unpredictable, but when we’re together like this, I’m reminded that love always shines through.
