Eighteen-year-old Adam Kadyrov , son of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, has established his own security group , "Dostum K-13." According to Verstka , its fighters are already patrolling roads in Chechnya and undergoing military training. Journalists examined social media pages associated with Adam Kadyrov and concluded that "Dostum K-13" appears to be a separate security force. Its members are based at the Akhmat Special Rapid Response Unit facility in Akhmat-Yurt, the elder Kadyrov's ancestral village.
The published videos show people in uniforms and caps bearing the Dustum inscription practicing shooting, operating drones, countering drones, evacuating the wounded, and marching in formation. This suggests they are not just personal security or a youth club, but a group with military training. Verstka draws particular attention to the unit's name. "Dostum" is Adam Kadyrov's call sign, previously used by Ramzan Kadyrov himself. In late 2025 and early 2026, Chechen media outlets reported on the organization's activities: its representatives participated in roadside inspections of vehicles, including checking for window tinting. However, the precise legal status of "Dostum K-13," its powers, and the grounds for vehicle inspections are not clearly explained in open sources. It is unclear to whom the group formally reports and on what basis its members are allowed to perform functions similar to police or law enforcement. Ramzan Kadyrov has long been building his own vertical chain of command within the republic, personally loyal to his family and outside the Kremlin's control. After the case of Yevgeny Prigozhin and the Wagner PMC, Russia is well aware of how dangerous private armed structures can be if they are not subject to the usual state logic.

Social media is buzzing about a viral video showing 18-year-old Adam Kadyrov , son of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, delivering a report on the situation in the republic ahead of the State Duma elections. The younger Kadyrov was reporting on preparations for the vote and potential provocations. However, his delivery style caught the attention of viewers : Kadyrov Jr. read the Russian text from a piece of paper so slowly, laboriously, and indistinctly that only individual phrases can be understood in the video, while the overall meaning of his speech is almost completely lost. He stuttered and slurred his words, constantly peering at the text. "Kadyrov Jr.'s reading skills were tested. What grade are we giving him?" a social media user joked. The video has once again raised the issue of power transition in Chechnya. Kadyrov is gradually promoting his sons to prominent positions, while rumors about his health have led to discussions about other possible future leaders of the region.
