Russian Z-propagandists are increasingly discussing Ukraine's ballistic missile program. Recently, their opinions have boiled down to the idea that sooner or later, ballistic missiles will be launched against Moscow. Thus, Yuriy Goroshko, a well-known Russian occupier with the call sign "Tavr," stated that it was only a matter of time before Ukraine acquired ballistic missiles capable of reaching Moscow. He made this statement in a conversation with propagandist and publicist Maxim Kalashnikov. He suggested that if Kyiv acquires the already announced FP-9 missiles and they are able to reach central Moscow, the situation for the Russian Federation will change for the worse. In response, Goroshko stated: "I would even correct you: not if, but when."
Earlier, Fire Point CEO Irina Terekh announced the arrival of ballistic missiles into service with the Ukrainian Armed Forces. According to her, Ukrainian company Fire Point has entered the military testing phase of its FP-7 ballistic missile. Terekh announced this at the Photonics4Defense 2026: Technology Exchange & Matchmaking event. According to Terekh, the FP-7 has already successfully completed two previous stages of testing and is now undergoing military trials. This stage is also part of the missile's codification process. The FP-7 could enter service in the near future. "We're talking about weeks, not months," she said. The first stages included ground and laboratory tests. Each system and subsystem of the rocket, including the rocket engine and navigation equipment, was tested separately. Flight tests followed, during which the developers obtained data on the rocket's performance and verified how well its actual characteristics matched the design estimates. Fire Point previously planned to complete the codification process for the FP-7 tactical ballistic missile with the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense by the end of 2025. In February 2026, Denis Shtilerman told DW that, despite expectations of deploying the ballistic missile by the end of 2025, a "number of events" had prevented this, but the company hoped to complete all tests by February. At the MSPO 2026 international exhibition in Poland, two Fire Point ballistic missiles were on display: the FP-7 and FP-9. The FP-7 is on the right in the photo, the FP-9 on the left. For years, Moscow has exploited its missile advantage to strike Ukrainian cities, energy sectors, industry, and military installations. Now, Ukraine is gradually developing its own capabilities that could alter the balance of long-range capabilities. In the event of massive ballistic missile strikes on Moscow, Russians would flee the capital.
