'Next Gen NYC': Charlie appears to kiss Ariana in teaser despite truce with Liam

And OK, we were hitting the slopes and hitting the T and getting all the drama. This little getaway for these kids has been quite messy. It has been. It's been absolutely wild. And I'm enjoying every second of it. The only part that made me feel a little sad was this whole situation between Amira and Charlie. I love that Amira is choosing peace and choosing to disassociate herself from Charlie at the moment. But what is making me sad is I feel like she's kind of low key in a way, giving Charlie a pass for making homophobic and transphobic remarks. You know, I know I'm because I was out when you caught up with Amira while she's doing press this season. And you said her and Charlie are friends now. It seems like they're so close. It did seem like it's a very layered thing for Amira, because she was like, I've known him for seven years. I love him. I just am getting some space to recalibrate. And I don't know if they are at a part where it's kind of like we're family and you just sometimes love your family through ups and downs type of thing. I don't know if they were at that closeness. It seems like they were, because I feel like it was less from what I was computing from it. It seemed like it was less about comments he made and maybe more about the fact that he was like that she was heard about her friendship with him. Right. Type of thing where she was like, because she's like, I want to get back to a place with you. I want to take some space because I value our friendship too much to just like let it go and move on. I just I just don't know how to do that yet. And he did receive that. Well, I I thought that they had a they had a really beautiful. I mean, it was a heartbreaking moment, but I thought he took on his part in it. Yeah, I hope that has held with them. And maybe he has changed since then because she said that's what she. Yeah, right. I I hope so. I guess Amira is just potentially a bigger and better person than I am, because if someone I know attacked my community and if I knew in my heart that they said something about my identity, sexual orientation, et cetera, because it was about Kevin, her boyfriend potentially being gay. And then he had apparently said something about her identity as a trans woman, Amira. I just don't know that I would be able to find forgiveness in my heart. But she has, it seems. And that says a lot about her character. And I think you make a really good point. Maybe there's a deeper friendship there that we just don't know. And it's like he feels like a sibling to her. I think that's because I was also kind of confused how she was. So I understood when she was like how Georgia forgave Charlie so fast for some bowling or three floor thing, some BS. But then Amira was like, but you were talking to me about Charlie, about how he said all these things about me. But now you're friends with someone like that. He said really terrible things about Amira, which is why the way Georgia put it, you should you should know that. And maybe you should end the friendship because he did say something about Kevin being gay. But even though he's not. And he did say something about your trans identity. And that's terrible. And that's a line we can't cross. But now Georgia's going home with him again. Right. Exactly. So that's kind of I mean, but then again, if Amira can forgive him for saying such things and it's like, can Georgia also be buddy buddy with him again? It's very it's confusing. The the charming effects he has on this group. I don't see the charm. I don't feel the charm. I don't get any likability factor from Charlie. And Ariana seems to be leaning more and more into it. She seems very confused of what. Well, also, Charlie, I guess, forgot that someone told Gia told him the night before Liam and Ariana were exclusive. So then they had a little like see that no sense to chat. Right. Because she was like, I don't understand why he's so shocked. And it really makes no sense because he was already told that. But when they had the conversation on top of the ski hill, he was like, finally, I get it. Him and Liam. He was explained like, I didn't know that you were exclusive. I didn't know was serious like this. Now I want to respect that, even though I told you the night before. I didn't respect it. And I'm going to her no matter what. And then also he was like, well, I just want to say I know this because then if Ariana tries anything with me, it's because she wanted to. Not because I was trying to get in the way of you guys. Make sure that my conscience is clear. If I hook up with her, that it's because she didn't want to be in a relationship, not because I disrupted anything that was otherwise blossoming. And then also it seems like in the previews, she. Well, and also we've we heard the true tea that she goes for that. And it's crazy, too, because, well, then we had the Brooks and Shai not even dueling because their friends, which is so lovely. They were just both celebrating their clothing launches. Yes, their pop ups, their pop ups. Both very, both for them. Both very them, both very different. But man, Ava was really feeling Shai's pop up. And I'm kind of do you know what? I love that Ava at first was very much like, no, we're not going to kiss. This isn't going to be a thing. But she is really growing to like Shai. And I feel like she is developing a crush. And we find out in this episode they did have a secret kiss at the bar in front of the bartender. And then they kissed again. It was a make out, a make out of Charlie's apartment. A whole ass make out. I kind of like them together. I think they're cute. I do, too. And what's so crazy? Because then Ava gave us the off camera dish about what went on after Shai's pop up that her, Shai, Liam, Ariana all went out. Yeah, which makes sense. Right. I love that. And then they all went to Charlie's apartment. But then Liam went to walk Ariana's dogs. What? Yeah, a little confusing. And this was after Liam and Ariana had a discussion about like, let's not do the late night Charlie moments anymore. Yeah. So I don't know. Ariana is exploring the desires of her heart. And one of those desires seems to be connecting and canoodling and getting kissy with Charlie. And I support her following her heart. But I do think that Liam is the better pick. I know. Well, I do think she's operating from a place of fear. Yeah, because she said in her confessional, the only time I've ever said I love you before was to Hudson. I said it to one person. And I mean, and I meant it. These feelings developing with Liam are maybe coming on very fast for her. Right. Right. After getting out of the whole thing with Hudson. And she's probably like, I don't really know how to operate. I don't really know what this is scaring me. I don't want to get into another maybe a 10 year long thing that doesn't work out for me and ends this way. So I think she is running to Charlie because he is the less safe answer in sense of like, I know I'm not going to fall head over heels with him. Right. I know this won't last. And this was after they had she and Liam, Ariana and Liam, apparently, according to Liam, had this like Nicholas Sparks Vibey rom-com moment where she was like, you are my dream. Like I'm manifesting you and here you are right in front of me. And then he like made the point like, OK, I thought you were like chasing the dream. And that's why she's sleepwalking to Charlie's. And then she has, you know, her night towers over there. Yeah, I know I'm going on. And but I mean, I kind of understand, Liam, you know, jumping in feet first, total lover boy vibes. Yeah. If Ariana is talking to him like that about their relationship, I feel like they honestly genuinely really care about each other. There's a lot of chemistry there. I mean, we've seen it IRL housewives party like they are. They're just they're kind of vibing. They're vibing out. And what is kind of comforting to know, for me at least, someone who is very skeptical of Charlie, what we've heard from both Liam and Shy is that Ariana and Charlie are currently not really speaking. We do know that Ariana is hanging out with Liam, which makes me feel good because I do really love them together. I know. But also, remember, this all started with her saying she wouldn't touch Charlie with a ten foot pole. So just because it's over doesn't mean it's really over, as Katy Perry once sang. Oh, but I'm hoping it is. I really am hoping it is. Do you think that she's going to canoodle again with Charlie? Reignite the flame? I think she could. She could. Anything can happen. Anything could happen. I think it is kind of a thing where I don't know maybe she is in more of a place where she wants to be more serious, but also she's 23. Yeah, right. I know. And he's 30. So I just. They're both 30. Charlie and Liam. Charlie's 31. Yeah. So I don't know. She's also kind of like, who are these? I mean, both of them younger than us. But like, she's probably like, who are these like grandpas that I'm hooking up with? You know what I mean? Like, she might want to just be with someone more her age. Yeah. And, you know, she has every right to explore any connection she can in this gorgeous town of New York City. Kendall's talking and I love it. Yes. Wait, Kendall is involving herself more. And I really like it. I feel like she's starting to find. I know we have we're like right up against the finale. It's next week at the finale. So Kendall, she found her voice, though, and I like that they're utilizing her more. I really like her. I think she's pretty. I think she's a nice voice of reason. I love that she's a vault. I love that she's so loyal to Liam, but she also can be real with Liam and give him good advice, et cetera. So I don't know. I like Kendall. I hope that they utilize her even more in the next season. I need that, too. And also we get candy next week. Yes, I'm so excited to see candy with Riley talking. I was not talking about something fun, but we just love candy on our screen in any capacity. Yeah. Even if she's talking about her sad divorce from Todd Tunger. And I don't know if she was actually fine. She seemed totally fine. Candy's good. Yeah, it's OK. Yeah. She's loving her candy coated night. Yeah. Candy's good. But that's going to be exciting. I know it should be really good. But as we saw, it looks like they did film Charlie and Ariana do an old kiss that we did not fully see. Oh, my God. Yeah. The cutaway definitely left me wanting more. I wanted to see it even because it's like looking at a train wreck, like a car crash. I know. Can't look away from it. Even Ariana, before she started her confessional, was doing the sign of the cross. Oh, yeah. She. Baby, you kiss and Charlie. You've never needed Jesus more. Mm hmm. There was so many different things going through my head. God forgive me. I do want to shout out Rowan really quickly. For stealing or not stealing. But she took the rotisserie chicken. She did. She did. And she was really excited about that. And it's just as someone who also loves rotisserie chicken. I felt very connected. My only thought was if I was in her car. Oh, because the thing about a rotisserie chicken is they're delicious. But in an enclosed environment, they do smell like a big fat fart. You taste it first with your with your nose. Yeah. No, it definitely gives fart energy. And I'm a vegetarian, so I don't want the fart. Right. It's so I would not have. I love what we chatted with her on recently. I would have loved to gap with her on our drive home. I could not be in the rotisserie chicken car. Yeah, I actually probably would have been in Gia's car going home a day early. Yeah, she had to get out of there. She was going to the Turks and Caicos. You know, she was so pissed that she's like, I'm driving home with Charles. Because, you know, when you offer someone like, oh, I'm heading out now if anybody wants to take my car. She's like the. All right. Charlie and Georgia, who can't seem to not go home together after. Also, it happened in point two seconds. Gia bought something a size pop up. She did. Yeah. Wait, I miss that. I think I think I heard him say, oh, my God, thank you for something, Gia. I love the progress they've made as friends after Gia decided without any reason at all to hate shy. And now that now they seem cool with each other. Well, and also because she defended him when Georgia called him a clown. That's so she was like, a clown is not a compliment. And she also didn't understand gesture versus gesture, which I kind of love. It was giving Teresa energy. And I love it. I love it. I love it. But yet next week is the finale of Next Gen NYC. I'm kind of sad. Because this has been a good season. It ended too shortly. I'm excited for the reunion, though. I haven't seen all the reunion looks, except for Ava, Ava girl. Ava, dad looks in at the reunion. She looks so good. Holy ----. Yeah. Wow. The abs are ab in. Now I need to know. Was this was did did Mama Rachel Roy help do like some styling consultation? Ava does not need help. But I'm like, it was just incredible. Yeah, she looks really good. I think it's a revenge dress, but she doesn't need to take revenge on anybody. I mean, you're so you're so right. It is giving a revenge dress like this would have been like, what would she wear if she was scorned? No, I know, because this would have been this is like giving like a wow moment, like Ariana Maddox or Sierra Miller energy. And yeah, I don't think she really needs revenge on anyone. But wow, I will certainly love. Ooh, I'm sure he did love it. Mm hmm. Yeah. And we love it. We love it. OK, we can't wait for the finale next week and we will be recapping that.
