Trump says he’s ‘happy’ Harry and Meghan left US , calls them disrespectful

US President Donald Trump did not mince his words while reacting to Prince Harry and his wife actress Meghan Markle leaving the United States. While speaking to reporters of the Oval Office, Trump said that their departure made him rather happy, adding that if he were a member of the British royal family, he would not have taken them back. No, I was not a fan. I thought, look, I had a very good relationship with the Queen. Really good. I got to know her very well. A really good relationship with King Charles. I know Miss Prince Charles and King Charles. I've known him for a long time. He's great. Great guy. And I thought they treated the royal family with great disrespect. I didn't like it. I didn't like the way she acted. I thought she was terribly disrespectful to the Queen, to King Charles. And I don't know. Maybe I'm different. The royal couple's return to Britain with their children marked the end of a six-year-long exile from Harry's homeland. He and Meghan are relocating from California to a home outside London, having enrolled their children at a school for the upcoming academic year. The move comes as a surprise given the couple's long and very public fallout with the British royal family. Remember, in 2020, Harry and Meghan stepped back from royal duties and settled in the United States. The rift with the royal family deepened after Harry published his tell-all memoir, Spare, and the couple gave a bombshell interview to U.S. talk show host Oprah Winfrey. However, Harry now appears to have repaired relations with his father, King Charles, during his most recent visits to the United Kingdom. He's still reportedly estranged from his brother, Prince William, and William's wife, Catherine.
