It's important for Ukraine to not launch 1,000 drones a day against Russia , but to concentrate on areas where the Russians have minimal air defense, to focus on the most vulnerable targets.

Aviation expert and leading researcher at the State Aviation Museum, Valery Romanenko, stated this on the "News Factory " program. "You can suppress anything with force and numbers, but for us, given the attacks on our enterprises and manufacturers, that's not the way to go. They did the right thing in Crimea – they knocked out the air defenses first, and then dealt with economic facilities, military units, and anti-aircraft missile positions, because without a radar, they're targets. A launcher is a target, and some kind of transport-loading vehicle is also a target. It can't do anything without radar guidance," the expert said.

In his opinion, now it is necessary to focus on places where air defense is minimal. "Although these operations are still quite complex overall, we're not just launching cruise missiles; they're accompanied by simulators, targets, and drone simulators... We need to focus on the most vulnerable targets. Don't waste a huge number of drones on Moscow or, say, the surrounding region, where it's heavily defended. There are many cities; we haven't completely knocked out Belgorod, Kursk, or Bryansk yet," Romanenko explained. As reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy tasked the country's defense industry with increasing production of long-range drones so that the Ukrainian Armed Forces could launch up to a thousand drones per day across Russian territory.

Ukraine must become more competitive in its ability to launch long-range weapons to force Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to the negotiating table, he said. He stated that Ukraine has sufficient capacity to increase drone production. The president explained that if Ukraine succeeds in increasing production, then "we will be able to carry out more strikes." According to the president, the Ukrainian Defense Forces possess various types of drones with varying ranges – 300, 350, and even 3,000 km.

Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine has already conducted successful operations, but lacks sufficient funding. He added that Russia is increasing the number of deep strikes, and therefore Ukraine needs more funding for the production of long-range weapons.
