Ukrainian strikes have disabled eight of the 10 largest Wildberries logistics centers across Russia since mid-July, significantly disrupting the marketplace’s logistics network. The latest attack took place on the night of August 26, when Ukrainian drones targeted a Wildberries logistics hub in Kotovsk, Tambov region. A major fire broke out at the facility, and operations were halted. Local authorities indicated that the complex was completely or almost completely destroyed by the blaze. The Kotovsk facility had previously been targeted on July 18, when a fire killed seven employees and temporarily forced the warehouse to suspend operations. The latest strike follows attacks on seven other major Wildberries warehouses in Russia. Facilities in Elektrostal and Koledino near Moscow, Novaya Usman in the Voronezh region, Krasny Bor in the Leningrad region, Aleksin in the Tula region, Novosemeykino in the Samara region and the Sobinsky district of the Vladimir region have all reportedly been disabled. Two other major Wildberries logistics centers, in Yekaterinburg and Tatarstan, have also come under attack but reportedly continue to operate. Together, Russia’s 10 largest Wildberries warehouses cover around 1.6 million square meters. More than 1.3 million square meters - over 81% of their combined capacity - has been taken out of service following the strikes. The repeated attacks have increasingly affected key elements of Wildberries’ distribution network, adding pressure to one of Russia’s largest e-commerce logistics systems.
