Breaking news. The 17 year old from Acton accused of killing his mother and younger brother was
arraigned in court just a short time ago. Police arrested Arjun Aravind yesterday morning. They
found him in his mother's car in Wayland. Prosecutors say they found the bodies of Aravind's 45-year-old
mother Sudha Venkasathan and 14-year-old brother Siddharth inside the family's home Tuesday night.
Middlesex District Attorney Marion Ryan says Aravind used chat GPT to write fantasy stories
about his family members being killed. The cause of each death is not yet known but the prosecutor
says it showed signs of a violent struggle. Immediately inside the house they found the
body of an apparently deceased child who was determined to be a 14-year-old male child.
They then found close nearby a body of a female who was determined to be the mother of that
child. The autopsies were started yesterday to determine the cause of death. A plea of not
guilty was entered on the 17-year-old's behalf. The attorney is seeking a psych evaluation. He
will be held without bail until a probable cause hearing next month.
