On the night of July 31, drones attacked the logistics center of the Russian marketplace Wildberries and an oil refinery in Volgograd. Large fires broke out at the attack sites, according to the Telegram monitoring channel Exilenova+.
Drones struck the 44,000-square-meter Wildberries logistics complex, which is the main logistics hub for the Volgograd, Astrakhan, and neighboring regions. The Lukoil-Volgogradneftepererabotka oil refinery, one of the largest refineries in Russia, was also attacked.
Volgograd Region Governor Andrei Bocharov reported that, due to a "drone strike," fires were recorded at an industrial facility in the fuel and energy complex in the south of Volgograd, as well as in warehouses in the Dzerzhinsky District.
Previously, the analytical group Frontelligence Insight reported that after "deep strikes," Russian refineries remain plunged into darkness for months. For example, at the Tuapse refinery, which was subjected to two attacks, the strikes destroyed more than a dozen large and medium-sized storage tanks with a total capacity of approximately 80,000 cubic meters. Furthermore, drones destroyed an auxiliary processing unit built as part of the refinery's modernization program.
At the same time, Business Insider reported that the Russian company Wildberries has become a new military target for Ukraine . It is noted that at least 10 facilities belonging to Wildberries, Russia's largest online retailer, have been damaged by Ukrainian airstrikes over the past two weeks.
