Ukrainian defense forces continue to destroy Wildberries marketplace warehouses in response to Russian occupiers' attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure, and also struck a facility belonging to Russia's national postal and logistics operator, Russian Post. According to ASTRA, residents of Zelenodolsk, Tatarstan, reported explosions and smoke. Videos from the scene available online revealed smoke rising from the warehouse of the Wildberries Kazan marketplace, located at 20 Industrial Site, Zelenodolsk.
Meanwhile, in the village of Nechayevka in the Voronezh region, a drone struck a Russian Post distribution center located on the premises of a Magnit distribution center.
Additionally, Voronezh Region authorities announced Thursday morning that the attacks damaged the roof of a marketplace warehouse and the façade of another similar building, without disclosing further details. According to local residents, the attack targeted a Wildberries warehouse in Novaya Usman. From July 18 to July 23, the Ukrainian Defense Forces disabled approximately 8% of the Wildberries marketplace's warehouses in Russia, which were being used for the Russian military-industrial complex, according to Russian media reports. To date, Ukrainian drones have almost completely destroyed Wildberries logistics centers in Elektrostal 250,000 square meters, Krasnodar 150,000 square meters, and Nevinnomyssk 120,000 square meters, and also damaged complexes in Kotovsk 100,000 square meters and Voronezh 100,000 square meters. Russian media estimates that restoration of the aforementioned warehouse complexes could cost Wildberries 35.5 billion rubles or more, depending on the extent of damage to the Voronezh facility. Voronezh Region Governor Alexander Gusev confirmed "damage to the roof of a marketplace warehouse" in a Voronezh suburb, but did not specify the name of the warehouse. The Ukrainian Defense Forces have begun targeting Wildberries marketplace warehouses in Russia because they are used to supply the Russian military-industrial complex. For example, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, sanctioned UAV components and navigation equipment were delivered to such a facility in Elektrostal, Moscow Oblast. Therefore, Wildberries is a legitimate target for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Ukraine's attacks on Wildberries warehouses have further increased the pressure on the Russian economy. The total losses to retailers following the attacks on the company's warehouses in Krasnodar and Nevinnomyssk could reach 120 billion rubles. Many Russians have expressed the need to stop the "SVO" because the Ukrainian Armed Forces' strikes on Wildberries logistics centers have personally affected them. On social media, Russians are complaining about Ukrainian drone strikes on Wildberries marketplace warehouses.
It is Russia's largest marketplace, but it is used to supply the Russian military-industrial complex with sanctioned drone components and navigation equipment, making it a legitimate target for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. "I think that's it. Many people will wake up bankrupt today because the warehouse in Krasnodar burned down. What should we do? It's unclear. I don't know what to do," one Russian responded to the attacks on Wildberries.
