Sharks make SNEAKY Good Move... This is Perfect

This is how I say Sharks make a sneaky good move as they add Jeff Kielty to their front office. In this video we're going to talk about how good of an addition this is, some players who he was involved in bringing to Nashville, and talk about the schedule that was released just a few days ago so you're not going to miss this episode of Sharks Digest. But before we dive into everything here today just want to give a huge shout out to today's sponsor PrizePix. happening tomorrow so take advantage of this by going down below in the pinned comments and the once again a huge shout out to PrizePix for sponsoring another video but we're going to talk about this great addition that was made by the San Jose Sharks bringing Jeff Kielty to the front office this is a guy who has a plethora of knowledge within scouting and obviously stepping into a role as AGM with the Predators now he is the AGM with the San Jose Sharks and a great person to have in that front office a great person to make decisions this is a this is a very good ad obviously we've seen this through the San Jose Sharks on twitter announcing that they have brought in Jeff Kielty to be the AGM for this team but Mike Greer had some very interesting things to say about this which I do want to bring up he said Jeff brings a wealth of professional experience to our club and will be a valuable addition to our hockey operations staff his knowledge and expertise of the game is represented in his achievement with Team USA helping the program win a gold medal along with elevating the Nashville Predators with various high-end player additions over the previous two decades both in the NHL and in their prospect system he also says I've known Jeff since our days together at BU and it's exciting to be able to work with him again you're probably wondering what players was he involved in bringing to the Nashville Predators there is a lot you have obviously key cornerstones like Philip Forsberg and UC Saros as well as Roman Yossi but since being promoted to the director of scouting in 18-19 he had 13 first round selections including Matthew Wood, Shvetchkov, Brady Martin, Wyatt Cullen most recently and as well as Luke Evangelista who's a top liner for this team now and Ryan Ufko in the later rounds if we just take a look at a breakdown of Kielty's first round picks over the last few years recently with Cullen and Bleal I really like Bleal I mean he's a great player uh great eye on him for that one also bringing in Martin, Siren Wood uh you know Shvetchkov and a name that we all know there in Askarov uh which I know those guys are going to be familiar with each other I think it's great to bring in a person like this that has so much knowledge uh towards uh you know just the game and finding players and uh the Nashville Predators said Jeff made considerable impact on the Predators spending countless hours traveling the world to find next talented player or fan favorite to add to our roster either at the draft or in a trade or through free agency uh I think this is a great add by the San Jose Sharks I think bringing a guy in who has you know found some key players and some stars in this league uh is only going to help us going further where we are going to be competing now and later you know in the later round draft picks are going to be our bread and butter over these next few years uh while we're competing and while we're getting the you know the 25th to 32nd pick or whatever we're getting in the draft having a guy like this who has knowledge of bringing in great players at those picks is going to be huge for this organization but also now him being in his assistant general manager role being able to you know find these key players that we should be trading for or we should be making a move for having a guy who can make decisions like that and help Mike Greer make decisions like that is obviously going to be great for the future of this team as well like I said as we're going to be competing and as we're going to be making trade deadline acquisitions to bolster our roster going into the playoffs in the coming years having a guy like this who has 20 plus years of experience doing this and doing it well and obviously winning a gold medal with the team with Team USA is definitely a big part of that as well and just having guys like this in your front office is only going to lead to success for our team I think Mike Greer is doing a fantastic job and now he has a right-hand man in Jeff Kielty who has a lot of experience in between those two guys who have worked together previously obviously Mike Greer kind of said hey I want this guy we worked together and you know we worked well together and now he has his friend up in the press box with him and helping him making these big decisions for our club which is huge so welcome to the family Jeff Kielty and I'm really looking forward to see what you can do for this team in the future very exciting signing it's something that we should be excited about because when we bring in experienced you know staff to our front office and guys who obviously just recently won the gold medal with Team USA I mean that's that's a big deal no doubt about it but once again I did allude to it earlier I do want to talk about the schedule going into this season we did see here the series premiere season premiere is October 1st against the Florida Panthers in the SAP Center so that's going to be a fun one to watch seeing Macklin Saabrini and the Sharks going up against you know the Kachuck brothers and you know all the the big names on that team and it's just going to be a banger game to open up the season and I'm really hoping the Sharks are going to pull out a win during this game and I think Macklin Saabrini is going to be all systems go and have an unbelievable game in that first game of the season in the home opener against the Florida Panthers but there is something else that was released with the obviously the release of the schedule was how many back-to-back games every team has and right now the San Jose Sharks have the third most back-to-back games this season with 13. Yeah that's kind of tough you like to see them in that you know eight or nine category but you know obviously the Sharks have played good in back-to-back games they have been played have played bad in back-to-back games but obviously having the third most you know isn't the best you know you'd like to be lower on the list but you deal with it right you know you got two sound goaltenders now in Ned and Askeroff who you can rely on on back-to-back games and you know I'm not scared about it I think this is going to be a challenge for the team and a challenge that the team's ready to undergo and try to excel at but one good thing as well another good thing with the really receiving the schedule is how many teams are going to face that are on the opposite end of a back-to-back meaning a team our opponent that's on their second game in a row right now we do rank a bit lower on this list as well with only nine opponents coming off back-to-back but you know that's that's the 10th lowest on this list but we're going to take it I mean those are nine games that we should win against a team that's tired that went to battle the night before I think that's plays into our favor a lot and that's nine games that we probably should win but probably won't win them all you can't win them all hey stuff just happens and uh you know you know hockey is hockey you can't win every night but it's definitely exciting to see that we are getting nine opponents that are coming off back-to-back uh nights but I want to hear your guys thoughts and everything we talked about here today down below in the comment section what do you think about Jeff Kielty being appointed to AGM what do you think about the release of the schedule lock games are you guys excited for let me know down below in the comment section but once again I gotta give a huge shout out to today's sponsor prize picks prize picks is America's number one sports picks app and it's the best way to get in on all the action go down below in the pinned comment in the description hit the link down the app use code digest take advantage of their great promotions like taco Tuesdays and flex Fridays and go ahead play that first five dollars get your fifty three dollars in lineups and use it on the world cup tomorrow by going down below hitting that link in the bin comments in the description and using download the app and using code digest once again a huge shout out prize picks for sponsoring another video and like I said while you guys are down there in that comment section let me know what matchups you're excited for this season what are your expectations for this team where do you think they're going to finish love hearing from you guys down below in the comment section if you enjoyed leave a like subscribe to the channel as always I've been your host KC keep a stick on the ice
