My Dogs Have the BEST Beach Day!

Today we decided to take the girls out for an epic summer adventure in Jamie's Jeep. The weather was absolutely perfect, reaching a warm 83 degrees, so we packed up the long leashes and headed out to the Besser Bell Natural Area. We haven't been out here in such a long time, and the girls knew something big was happening the second the harnesses came out! Eleanor was ready to dive right into the big lake, and wait until you see Kira, we finally have absolute proof that she loves swimming when she can walk right in! They even tried to chase an RC boat out in the water!
After drying off with a nice breeze in the Jeep, we continued our road trip over to the historic Old Presque Isle Lighthouse. If you didn't know the history, this place is actually known for being haunted, and we had a blast checking out the grounds. Jamie even rang the massive bronze bell, which weighs over 3,400 pounds! We got the girls up on some big rocks for a quick photo shoot, and they looked so proud of themselves.
We wrapped up our big day by stopping at the Portage Store in Presque Isle for some amazing thick-cut sandwiches and Great Lakes Parmesan Ranch chips. Of course, the girls had to try a few bready pieces of our lunch! By the time we got back home, Kira and Eleanor were completely wore out and ready for a massive couch nap before running inside for their nightly bedtime treats. Life is short, make memories with your dogs!
