Better than puff pastry! A brilliantly simple technique from a VERY OLD BOOK.
🚩Ingredients and recipe:
250 ml of warm milk.
60 g of sugar.
15 g of fresh yeast.
Mix well.
80 g of melted butter.
1 egg.
4 g of salt.
Mix well.
500 g of wheat flour.
Mix well with a spatula.
Add the remaining flour.
Knead the dough by hand.
Cover and let rise for an hour.
400 ml of milk.
80 g of sugar.
7 g of vanilla sugar.
1 egg yolk.
40 g of cornstarch.
Mix well.
Boil for 5 minutes.
Roll out the dough with a rolling pin.
add vanilla cream.
Sprinkle 100 g of chocolate chips on top.
Cut the dough into 12 equal pieces.
Place on a tray lined with baking paper.
Cover and leave for 20 minutes.
Mix an egg yolk with a tablespoon of milk.
Bake at 180 degrees Celsius for 25 minutes.
sprinkle with powdered sugar on top.
