The S160'S - The Marmite Loco - The Sound Of The USA !
A mini compilation of three preserved S160's mainly seen on the Churnet Valley Railway in Staffordshire. The S160'S in the UK are generally considered a Marmite loco, some enthusiasts love them and some hate them. For our American viewers Marmite is a yeast extract which is usually spread on bread, for our American viewers, you may be more familiar with with Vegemite which can be found certain stores.
Some scenes are captured on the Severn Valley Railway and Gloucestershire & Warwickshire Railway. The scenes featuring 2253 Omaha are now part of History as the loco is now oil fired as of April 2026.
If you do enjoy seeing the S160's I hope you enjoy the video.
