A rollover wreck sends a truck right into the front of a house in Hanson.
The driver was killed, but no one inside the house was hurt.
And yesterday's warm weather might be the reason why this happened.
Paulson 25 News reporter Ryan Breslin live in Hanson this morning.
And Ryan, that crash, as we just saw, left a lot of damage behind.
Yeah, Gene, the crash knocked out most of the front of the house.
The bay window and the front door gone.
You can see they are boarded up here this morning.
The Hanson police chief saying the homeowner usually sits in this room,
but because it was such a nice day yesterday, he was sitting in the sunroom instead.
This all happening after six o'clock last night here on High Street.
When first responders arrived, they found the 57-year-old driver,
who was the only person in the Chevy pickup truck, unconscious and trapped.
Police say that they got him out and he was taken to Brockton Hospital where he died.
His name has not been released, but police say he is from Hanson.
One neighbor tells us he and others, they ran over to try and help after hearing the crash.
It was loud.
I mean, it sounded like a dump truck dropping something off almost,
but it sounded louder than that.
So I ran over the hill and then saw the car right away.
A couple of people jumped on top, tried to go in through the passenger side.
All the airbags were deployed.
So they're trying to see if they could get him to respond at all.
The crash is under investigation by both Hanson and state police.
The police chief says this could have been much worse had there been oncoming traffic
or had that homeowner been sitting in the front of his house like he typically does.
For now, we're live in Hanson, Ryan Breslin.
