My Dog Isn't Feeling Good This Morning!

Today was a bit of a whirlwind here in Alpena, Michigan. We started the day dealing with some tummy troubles for Kira. She had a bit of a regurgitation incident on the couch and bed, so we had to do cleanup and getting her a Pepcid to feel better. Being a Siberian Husky owner means always being ready for the unexpected, whether it's cleaning eyes or monitoring an upset stomach!
Jamie and I spent a good chunk of the day working on the "eternal fire," trying to finally finish up that massive stick pile in the backyard. The smell of burning pine is just like camping, even if we're just in the yard! While the fire was going, I got a fresh batch of "liquid gold" bone broth started in the Insta Pot. It’s packed with collagen from chicken paws, carrots, and beef bones, and the girls absolutely love it as a topper for their meals.
We ended the day with a mile-long walk that took a very "Michigan" turn. It went from a gray sky to a full-on hail storm in minutes! We got a little wet, but the girls didn't seem to mind the cold at all. We even found a tiny robin egg on the way home! To wrap things up, the dogs got some special bone broth soaked green beans and carrots as a reward for being such good explorers.
