Another Ditch Kitten Showed Up At Greg's!

Jamie and I did something absolutely crazy today! Something we’ve actually talked about doing for years and years, and today is officially the day it happened. We signed everything at the title company, and we officially bought a fixer-upper house off of Facebook Marketplace! The outside looks a little rough right now and it definitely needs a new roof, siding, and a lot of love, but the bones of the house are incredibly solid. The tentative plan is to fix it all up so Jamie's dad can move in here. Between Jamie's contracting background, my dad being a licensed contractor, and my brother owning a contracting company, we definitely have the skills to bring this old house back to life!
But that wasn't the only surprise today. Greg stopped by with a brand new ditch kitten that showed up in his driveway a couple of days ago. The cat distribution system provided his mom with the most adorable one-eyed kitten, and after a quick trip to the vet, she is officially healthy and ready to be spoiled with wet food and churros.
Back at home, the Siberian Huskies were busy celebrating Kira officially becoming the queen. Memphis has passed the torch, and Kira is taking her new title very seriously, mostly by rolling around in the yard in some dried up, crusty "wormy perfume" with Eleanor. We also took the girls out for a super windy walk where they spotted a squirrel and finally found the neighborhood bunny hanging out by the shed. It has been an absolutely wild day, and this new house project is going to be the perfect distraction for the next few weeks!
