Philly's own 'Candy Lady' hopes for Hollywood moment after Quinta Brunson shout-out

The Candy Lady has become a beloved fixture in Philadelphia, known for walking city streets with candy balanced on her head and selling it to the community.

Now, the Germantown native may be headed for a bigger stage.

"I was like, 'Oh my goodness,' and I just started praising God," the Candy Lady said, describing her reaction after hearing Abbott Elementary star Quinta Brunson mention her on Good Morning America.

Brunson said, "If I had a dream Philadelphia guest star, it would be something very silly like, there's a woman who walks around with candy on her head, the Candy Lady."
