Happy Birthday Jamie

Well, good wonderful beautiful morning Pawdience! What you want Shelby? Shelby says, aren't scratches? I didn't pet any dogs. I didn't. I just went to Home Depot. I just went to Home Depot. Yeah, I did. I just went to Home Depot. Yeah, I know and I went to the P.O. Box to pick up stuff for your birthday that's coming up. Yeah, I did that too. Good wonderful beautiful morning Pawdience! What you think Miss Oakley girl? Hmm? What you think? She's like guys, I'm having a good day today. I gotta clean out your eyes again. I just did that this morning. Goodness me. Say goodness me. Goodness me. Really? I heard that. Who you talking to? You talking to me or were you talking to Oakley? Yeah? What do you think, huh? She's like, nope. Nope. I don't want to be petted today. Okay, that's fine. So once again, I'm not sure what all is going on today, but it's Jamie's birthday. I know later on we're going out to my mom's for dinner and we're probably gonna take the kayaks out there. Which reminds me, I got a message Greg and tell him to load up his kayak as well. But yeah, it's Jamie's birthday today. It's Shelby's birthday in a couple days. It's my mom's birthday tomorrow. So it's birthday week. Seems everybody's birthday falls at the first week August. Well, not everybody, but you have an August birthday. Yeah, you do. You sure do. So somebody has been out here working all morning. It looks really nice. It does, it looks really nice. These will start growing back again, but hey, I got a question for the internet. I'm pretty sure these are hosta roots. Oh. Would that be the seeds to the hostas? I don't know. Your mom might know. Yeah, right. Somebody let me know. I planted some more around because I know they grow in a circle and they come up from the root. Right. And this is pretty sure this is the roots, but I don't know if they're like rhubarb. Do they grow from the root or do they grow from a seed? I think they grow from like the little root systems. I think that's why you're supposed to be able to like transport them when they get bigger. You can take like little bits of them and transport them. Unless you're Jamie's sister and then she steals the one that went right there and it never grew back. Steph, if you're watching this, the hosta never grew back. Yeah, it's actually one I replaced it with and it barely survived. These are fire bushes, which I find funny because this one's tiny. It must be because of the sunlight. We planted all three of these at the same time. So that one, this one, this one and then believe it or not, that is the same bush. There's another bush growing behind it. Jamie's been trying to kill for a while. But we planted this bush and all these other bushes at the same time and this one is gigantic. This is what I was hoping they would all look like. These are really cool. If you've never seen a fire bush, look it. They're already starting. So they start off green and in the fall... Look at this one. This one's got a couple spots right here on it. They turn super... Oh, look at this. They turn super red. Yeah, I'm gonna kill it behind it. Oh, here's a couple that are really red down here. Oh, yeah, look at that. Oops, one fell off. So they turn really red and I always thought they were cool and I always thought they looked neat on the side of the house. So we put them over here a long time ago. I can't believe how big they got. Yeah, you've really been working. I got you more mulch. Yeah. I neglected this for a little while, so... Yeah, that's okay. I can't believe how big this thing is. Yeah, I don't know what it is. Is it a beech tree? I don't know. No, it's not a beech because the leaves are different. But it's very green and not tree-like. It's more like bushy like. It's quite poisonous. Oh, I'm gonna go over here then. You just stay with the poisonous plant. Pretty sure it's the same tree as that big guy. I bet it is. Isn't that a red maple? No. I was hoping that... That's a red maple. Yeah. That's all right. We can put him in the yard somewhere. That's a pretty good size tree already. Yeah, that's what I thought. I'm like, well, he wants to grow really good, so maybe we'll put him at the farm or something. There we go. Hey, I said it was your birthday, but I don't think I actually said happy birthday to you on camera. Don't worry. I'm sure everybody already did it in the comments. Happy birthday, Jamie. I'll leave you two. You're playing in the dirt. Have fun with that. Good afternoon. Oakley, how many times a day can I clean your eyes? I just cleaned them again for the second time today. They look better though. The drops don't seem to be helping you as much as they used to, huh? Not as much as they used to. I know, she's got Gunky's eyes. Gunky in her eyes. You look better now though. She's like, yeah, except I feel like you're gonna try to grab a hold of me and I don't like it. Yeah, I know you don't. I know. You girls want some lunch? Are you hungry? Are you hungry? You hungry? Alright, let's have some lunch. Yeah? Yeah? Alright. I don't know if I told you guys this yesterday, but this is the food, the Wellness Core Raw Rev. It's got little bits of raw in it that I normally feed the dogs. But Miss Oakley hasn't been eating it. So, I actually went out and got the Wellness Core Raw Rev for small breeds. You can see the difference. It's like little tiny bits compared to these big bits. And she loves it. So, I guess she's gonna be eating that for a little bit. Whatever it takes to get her to eat, right? Are you hungry? You want some of this food that's in here? Is that what you want? What? Tell me. Speak. Speak. Speak! Yeah, like that. Good job. Okay, I'll feed you. So, we're loading up the kayak to take it out to my mom's for a birthday party. And Jamie found... Not Toad Friend. We found Frog Friend. I'm gonna be really lame. Ready for it? Yeah. Can we name him Kermit? As long as we can name Toad Friend, Toad. Yeah, we'll call him Toad. This is Kermit. Kermit Defrog. He's bright green. Holy cow. Yeah, he is. That's pretty cool. Don't make him jump at me. Don't make him jump at me. You got some legs on him. He's a frog. There he is. In the middle of all the things. Ah, I peed. Now he's over by the neighbor's house. Anyway. That's probably a safer place for him anyway. We'll leave you alone, buddy. Before we take off, I wanted to show you guys Jamie got this all done. He had it all cleaned up and nice looking again. Got that tree out from back here that was kind of strangling this red bush. Fire bush. So yeah, it's looking all nice again on the side of the house. He did a good job. I guess that was his birthday gift to himself. You know, if we ever find a two person kayak that's red, we might have to trade this in. Yeah. Don't paint it. Maybe we'll just get a red one and leave this one out at mom and dad's. Come on Sunshine. What are you doing? What are you doing big dog? Hey big dog. How's it going, huh? He's like, I'm excited. Everybody's coming over for food. Birthday food. Like a worm hotel. So Jamie decided to give one of the worm hotels to my mom for her birthday. Since my mom and dad go fishing like every night that they can. So it has been perfectly nice all day and then right as we come out here, this rolls in. It's been sunny and beautiful and now this. So I don't know if we're taking the kayaks out. That's a little scary. Probably too scary for kayaks. Yeah, it does. This is what Jamie and dad did yesterday. They put all this floor down. Look, it looks like our house. It looks so nice. I love this color. Yeah, it's a nice looking floor. I filled in all the gaps. Good job. Cool. Can't even tell. By the time you put the trim down, you won't even notice. That's why I filled them all in. Wow! I can stand in here and film the crazy storm. Holy man. Yeah, we had that happen in our hallway. Yeah, I think that could pick up one of those kayaks. We're just going to hang out in here. White caps on the river. Oh my goodness. Look at these trees move. This is crazy. Look at that moving. Oh, here comes the rain. Wow. That's a little scary. The storm got crazy real fast. That's pretty crazy. That's a lot of motion in those trees. It looks way more wicked from back here. Look at how much that tree moves. I just hope it's a steady motion and not a bunch of whipping. Wow. I just got rain on my face. Yeah, it's starting to rain. Oh my gosh, look at them. They're going in like circles. Wow. That's intense. That's just crazy. They're cracking out. If you go out front, you can hear the branches cracking. The candles are going out. Bye. Jamie and mom. Happy birthday to you. Aunt Pat blew out half the candles and the fan blew out half the candles. You got four left. I got two. Now you got two. The letters are going to melt. We got to sing again. We got to sing again? Happy birthday to you. And then back to eating. What the heck was that? That was priceless. That was pretty funny. Alright, we're home from birthdays. Dogs are like, our dinner was 30 minutes late. But they don't really seem to care. They're enjoying it anyway. Oakley's enjoying her new food. See, she doesn't even chew it. She just licks it up. I think that was the problem she had with the other food. She seems to like this though. What do you want? Do you want to go outside? Huh? Do you want to go outside? Tell me. Tell me, not Oakley. Tell me. Is that what you want? You want to go outside? Tell me. Outside? Let's go outside. You're going to go all by yourself because she is sound asleep right there. Memphis didn't want to go with you. Come on, let's go outside. I know, I love how excited you get about going outside. You crack me up. You want to go outside by yourself? Come on. Apparently Shelby wants to go outside all by herself. Ready? All by herself. Go Shelby, go! That is exciting when you're by yourself and it's raining. I don't think there's any critters out there. But you can go check. So how exactly did that work Shelby? Did you notice the other dog is awake and outside now? Even Memphis is outside now and you're already back in here. You did this so you can get more than one cookie didn't you? That was the plan the entire time. Because you'll get a cookie now because you're in here all by yourself and then you'll get a cookie when everybody else comes in because otherwise it's not really fair if you see everybody else getting a cookie and you don't get one. You are a true diva and you know it. Yep. You have so many little silly quirks. Yeah, they went outside. You knew exactly what you were doing. Yeah, you did. Weird. Now you're all in here. And what's gonna happen? I bet you're gonna get an extra treat. You got a treat. Look how you figured that out. She knew exactly what she was doing. She purposely didn't wake anybody up. She wanted the extra treat. You diva. Since it's almost your birthday, I guess we'll spoil you a little bit. Well, I think we're all heading to bed. What do you think Miss Shelby? Jamie had a good birthday. Yeah. What do you think? You wanna go back outside again before you go to bed? Okay, we'll go back outside again before you go to bed. She's like, I'm overheating guys.
