Sui and Tang Luoyang City National Archaeological Site Park is located in the heart of Luoyang, Henan Province, and preserves the remains of the ancient capital of Luoyang during the Sui and Tang dynasties.

Luoyang was one of the most important capitals in ancient China. During the Sui and Tang periods, it became a magnificent international city and an important political, economic, and cultural center of East Asia.

The ancient city was carefully planned according to a grand imperial urban layout. Its central axis, palaces, city gates, streets, and gardens reflected the sophisticated urban planning of the time.

Today, visitors can explore several important restored landmarks, including Yingtian Gate, the Mingtang and Tiantang complex, and Jiuzhou Pool. Although many of the original buildings have disappeared, archaeological remains and modern reconstructions allow visitors to imagine what this magnificent ancient capital may have looked like more than a thousand years ago.

Walking through the park, especially after sunset when the buildings are illuminated, offers a fascinating glimpse into the grandeur of the Sui and Tang dynasties and the history of ancient Luoyang.
