Alright! Today we're going to show you guys, how to make guidelines for your weave poles.
You're going to need four of these pex pipes, is what they're called.
They're five feet long. They're quarter inch in, I guess, would be diameter.
You'll need four of these PVC couplings. These are one inch in diameter.
And then, you're going to need these sheet metal screws, is what we're using.
And they're number 14 screws, one and a half inches.
You'll need this many.
Eight of them.
And what we're going to do, is we're going to take these couplings and we're going to cut them in half.
Cut them in half.
Cut them right in half.
Maybe a bit.
And then, once they're cut in half, we're going to have to take and we're going to cut...
What did you say? That's about an inch?
About an inch.
About an inch out of the middle of each one.
So, that's what we're working on next.
Now, we're going to take those screws and we're going to drill them into these little clips we've made.
Slowly but surely.
Hopefully.
Maybe not.
I'm going to have to drill a pilot hole first.
Yeah, you might want to.
I thought once it started going, it would make it's own little hole.
You're drilling it into the soft surface, because that way we'll be able to actually get it out.
I don't know. I might have to drill a little pilot hole.
That really didn't make much of a dent.
Alright, take two.
And I didn't actually end up having to drill a hole first.
I just went a little bit faster and put my shoulder into it.
And it went right through.
Oh yeah!
Oops! I'm going to need an extension.
Yep, I need an extension.
Can't get my bit in there.
Oh yeah!
Alright!
Now we only got that many more to do.
I don't have an instruction video on how to build weaves, because I actually bought these.
But these are our weave poles that we're making the guide wires for.
But as you can see, it's just a few pieces of PVC pipe all connected together.
Someday we may have to build another set and I can show you how to make weave poles.
Or you can just google how to make weave poles.
There they are!
Can you go weave?
Come on Shelby, you can do it!
Weave!
Oh, that was close.
That's why we need the guide wires.
She still needs some training.
Now we got to take those pieces and screw them into the edge.
Of these.
I guess they'd be called wires.
Pipes.
Water pipes.
Yep, pretty much.
I'm gonna get whipped!
That looks like it should work to me.
Screw it in there a little bit further and...
We'll try it out!
And they clip right on to the poles.
And to that pole.
And then one will go from here to here.
And then one will go from here to there.
And one will go from there to there.
Then we'll see if Shelby can make it through.
Shelby!
Come on!
Go weave!
Shelby!
Go weave!
Weave!
Good girl!
Eventually you'll learn how to do it without the wires.
Go back!
Go weave!
Go weave Shelby!
Weave!
Good girl!
Wanna try it Oakley?
Oakley's never done it, so she would actually need food.
Yay!
Good Shelby!
Shelby!
She's all ears, sweet boy, shine bright!
I know you've been a good little girl!
Good girl!
Good little snow dog!
Come and join us for an adventure!
Come and join the adventure!
Lots of fun, lots of walks, won't you come?
Into our Siberian world!
Stay Oakley, run Oakley, dance in the sun!
On to the snow dogs!
