Since some special little girl has a birthday coming, we're gonna make her some tuna treats.
They're called tuna brownies. What do you think Shi? Make some tuna brownies?
Alright, we're gonna show you guys how to make tuna brownies.
Sound good? Sounds like it's gonna smell pretty good.
Alright, first thing we need to do is preheat the oven to 250 degrees.
Holy cow, I went past it by just a little bit there, didn't I?
250.
Alright, let's get making some treats.
Alright Shiloh, wanna make some tuna brownies?
Tuna brownies for Shi, for her birthday?
You'll get some too Oakley.
This is a very simple recipe.
All you need is two cans of tuna in water, but drain the water out of it.
Pour that in a bowl.
What, wanna sniff it?
Wanna sniff the bowl?
Oh, you're all sniffing the bowl.
Come here Shi.
Over here!
What are you hiding back over there for?
You can smash up the tuna a little bit, since it's kind of in big pieces.
Squish it up a little bit.
What?
For you?
Wanna bite for Shelby?
Wanna bite for Shiloh, even though she's hiding over here?
Oh, you dropped it.
Got it? She got it.
Then, you need two eggs.
Pour that right in there.
And then, one and a half cups of flour.
I'm using wheat flour, because that's all I had.
So, hopefully it'll work the same.
It called for just one and a half cups of flour, but considering how these are made,
I don't think it matters if you use wheat flour or regular flour.
Then, you gotta stir it together.
Make it kind of like a squishy dough.
Bless you!
Did you get flour up your nose?
What? Did you get flour up your...
What?
How you doing Shi?
Huh?
No hiding over there?
These are for you, for your birthday.
You can use a little bit more or less flour, depending on what you think you need,
but you kind of want it like a dough like consistency.
Once you start putting your fingers in it, your hands are gonna smell like tuna.
I probably should have taken my ring off.
What? You girls all want some?
These are for Shiloh.
Her birthday's coming.
I guess, she'll probably share with you though.
What you think Shi?
Will you share with the girls?
Alrighty!
Once we got it mixed to pretty much a dough like consistency,
if for some reason it's not sticking together real well,
you can add a little bit of water and that'll help too.
Are you licking my hand?
Alright, we got it pretty dough like.
Now we gotta get our cookie sheet.
Now there's two ways you can do this.
You can either roll it out on a cookie sheet,
or you can just kind of flatten it out on a cookie sheet.
We're gonna go for the flattening.
So we'll kind of make little balls and smush it on there.
Sure smells like tuna.
You want to get it to about a quarter of an inch thick.
Somewhere around there.
Let's kind of just squish it out.
Once you have the dough all flattened on the pan,
you gotta pop it in the oven for 30 minutes at 250 degrees.
Did you fall asleep Shi?
Is it taking too long for you?
Okay, let's put it in the oven.
It's in the oven Oakley.
Now you gotta wait.
You gotta wait!
You gotta wait 30 minutes.
It's gotta cook and then we have to cut it.
So you gotta wait just a little bit.
Okay, 30 minutes.
Can you wait 30 minutes?
I think you can.
You can wait 30 minutes.
All right, now that they're out of the oven,
you need a pizza cutter.
Let me just cut them into little pieces.
Probably...
You might want to get a hot pad to hold the pan.
I took this pan out a minute ago.
So you just cut them up while they're still...
You don't want to let them cool first.
You want to cut them first.
Because they're still kind of soft.
Hey, get your nose away from there.
You're gonna burn yourself.
These treats are not supposed to be super crunchy.
They're supposed to be kind of soft like this.
So you don't want to cook them until they're really crunchy
or then you won't be able to cut them.
Quick Shiloh, nobody's looking.
Taste test.
Oh, I thought nobody was looking.
Here, you first.
Taste test.
Good stuff?
Good stuff.
Small.
There you go.
Well apparently they...
Get your nose off!
There's hot!
Get your nose off!
Apparently they like them.
Once you get them all cut into pieces, you can put them in a container.
They'll store in the refrigerator for about a week.
But they also freeze really well.
So you can take a bunch of them and put them in the freezer
and they'll stay pretty good in the freezer for up to six months.
And they thaw really fast too.
So you can put them in the freezer and then when you need more,
take them out, put them in the fridge.
There you have it!
Quick, easy tuna dog brownies.
What you think girls?
Want to try another one?
Shiloh first!
Here you go Shi!
That's a good girl!
Is that good stuff?
Those are your birthday brownies.
Okay Oakley, you're next.
There you go.
Oh, that's a good girl!
How about you Shelby?
Oakley, you're so grabby!
Get! Go on!
Here!
That's a good girl Shelby!
So what you think?
Are they good?
Did they pass the test?
I think so, because they're looking for more.
After you make them, you can leave them on the cookie sheet to cool.
It'll help harden them up just a little bit more.
But like I said, they're not supposed to be a really hard treat.
We gotta save the rest of them for Shiloh's birthday, right?
We're gonna save them for your birthday.
All right, thanks for watching you guys.
There'll be a link down here somewhere where you can check out our other treat videos.
