Dogs Left Alone: The Ultimate Obedience Test | Leave it Challenge for Dogs

Guess what we're doing today? So, a couple of weeks ago, we were challenged by Joey and Steel. I will link their channel up in the cards and down in the video description below. To an obedience challenge! Basically, what we're gonna do, is we're gonna put a treat on the floor. We're gonna put the dogs in a sit and stay and we're gonna leave. We're gonna see who leaves the treat the longest and who actually even bothers to pay attention. So, before we even get into that, I want you guys to guess. Who do you think will do the sit and stay the longest while we're not actually around? Do you think it's gonna be Oakley? Do you think it's gonna be Shelby? Or do you think it's gonna be Memphis? I'm gonna do this with each of them in the house by themselves. Then, we'll try it again with all three of them together. Which I know, totally isn't gonna work. But, we'll give them each a chance to see how well they can do a sit and stay and leave a treat while nobody's around. So, as most of you know, with all of our dogs, Shelby is the most picky. So, I definitely got her a high dollar treat to try this. This is a salmon jerky skin and you can tell she wants it. So, we're gonna put her in a sit, stay and not a speak. See how long after I walk out of the room, it takes her to grab it. Stay! Don't talk back! Stay! Come here! Sit! Stay! Come here! I think Shelby got what? Five seconds? Not even? I couldn't even leave the room! I think you failed! That's a fail Shelby! Definitely a fail! Is your treat amazing though? She's like, my treats amazing! That's all I care about! Alright! Memphis' turn! She's already excited! Let's see if she can do it! We're gonna try it using her bowl. Sit! Wait! I heard you! Pull it out! Well, Memphis couldn't do it either! My Huskies don't have the best wait and stay command when there's food around at all! Now as I said, Oakley doesn't really have a wait command. So, I don't even think I can set this down without her grabbing it. Let's try! Maybe she won't see! If I just don't show her... OK Oakley! Wait! Good job honey! That was like half a second! Good job! Maybe we should try leaving something on the table and see how long that takes. Here, while she's distracted. See if she figures it out. Oakley's definitely not one to take from the table. So, she can probably leave that up there forever. Let's see if anybody else can do that. I'm gonna show her that it's here. Then, I'm gonna make her sit and stay. Then, I'm gonna walk out of the room. You're such a bad dog! You would counter serve, wouldn't you? Same thing, I'm gonna show her that it's here. Then, I'm gonna walk out of the room with this one. Come on! So pretty much, if you know there's food on the counter, you're coming for it, aren't you? That's what I thought. So in conclusion, I think all of the dogs failed the obedience test. Pretty sure, you guys would eat off the counter while we weren't home. In fact, I know you would cause you had before. Pretty sure, you guys aren't waiting for treats. You guys just want food. That's it! Food! All the food! We want to say thank you once again to Joey and Steel for challenging us to try this with our dogs. We had a lot of fun doing it.
