My Dogs Went Crazy for These Strawberry Carob Mug Cakes 💗 DIY Dog Treats

Well, guess what we're doing today? What you think Miss Memphis? You guys! Today, we are making strawberry carob mug cakes. The mugs do come in two different sizes as you see here. There is an 11 ounce and a 15 ounce. Eleanor got the 11 ounce cause she's technically the youngest, even though she's not the smallest. But what we're gonna do is we're gonna use these to make mug cakes because these mugs are microwave safe. They are also dishwasher safe. Is that you? Do we want to make a cake inside a mug for Valentine's Day? She's like, yeah let's do it. Let's eat all the things. Alright! First ingredient. One of the dogs favorites. We are going to take two tablespoons of peanut butter and we're gonna put it in this dish and we're gonna microwave it for about 30 seconds. We're basically heating this up because it makes it easier to mix. The girls are like, oh man. It's peanut butter! Hi Memphis! There's peanut butter up here. Don't worry, you're gonna get a bite. She's like, mama come check this out and see what's going on here. I would like to eat some of the peanut butter please. Two tablespoons of peanut butter again. We're gonna throw it in the microwave. Oh man! You get some! And you get some! Those little tongues! And you get some! You have a long tongue. They're like, this is the best part. Just wait, we're making cakes. Now there's warm peanut butter. The next thing we will be adding, and part of the reason these are strawberry, we're actually going to add strawberry honey. Now, if you don't have strawberry honey you can just use regular honey. We're gonna add about half of a tablespoon. Oh my goodness! We're just gonna guess. About half a tablespoon. These dogs are like, wait, there's honey with strawberries? Oh, look at it! It's like a little passing fire. She's like, oh, this is delicious. You're not gonna get much. And don't worry you guys, this is specifically for dog treats. We have our own. Memphis is like, wait, what? It's strawberry honey? She's like, I don't know about that. You really like that, huh? She's like, that's so good. You don't need that much of it. Alright, so that's gonna be your treat. Kira's like, oh, what's next? Trust me, you don't want to try this. Next, we're going to be adding four tablespoons of whole wheat flour or whatever flour you choose. Eleanor's like, that looks so good. What do you think Memphis? She's like, we're making cakes. I'm super excited. I'm excited we're making cakes. Do you think you get more? She's like, yeah, I think I get more. Is there more? I should get more. You can't eat that either. That would be gross. This has to make your cake rise. Alright, so the next ingredient is a half a teaspoon of baking powder. This is what's gonna make... This is what's gonna make the cake rise. You don't want to eat that for real. Baking powder raw would not be good. Put that in there. And then... Our favorite ingredient. We need one teaspoon of... Say it with me now, friends. Carob powder. Not chocolate. Carob. One teaspoon of that. She's like, I would eat that carob. It's so good. Memphis is like, maybe I would like to eat that a little bit. I think that sounds really good. Again, this. This is carob. Not chocolate. And the last ingredient for the cake part is four tablespoons of water. Eleanor's eyes. She's like, whoa. Can I have some of that water? It's the best water I ever had. She was like, excuse me? Can I have some water, please? Memphis would like to try some water as well. Memphis is like, can I have some? Maybe not. Alright, now we're gonna mix this all together. So now, we're gonna take our baking spray and we're gonna spray the inside of this mug so that the mug cake will release. Cause dogs can't eat with a spoon. We're gonna make sure we can take it out of there. Alright, pour it in. We're doing Kira's mug first. Not chocolate, carob. Look how cute your face is right now. Memphis is like, I'm so happy. Do you get to try the dough? Oh my goodness. Who else wants to try just a little bit? Eleanor's like, me, I would please like to try a little bit. Alright, we gotta give Memphis some. She's back there smiling. She's like, oh, thanks. This is delicious. Batter's in the mug. We're gonna pop this in the microwave for about 90 seconds to two minutes. So after 90 seconds to two minutes, it's fluffed up like a cake. It's going to be hot. We're gonna go ahead and dump it out of this mug to let it cool. So we're doing this with a plate on top. We're just gonna flip that mug right over and that cake should release right out of there. There it is. Now we're gonna let it cool. While it's cooling, we're gonna make two more mug cakes. Kira's like, I would like a bite. Now we have three mug cakes. But, we're not done. Now what's a cake without frosting? Excuse me ma'am, you cannot eat all the strawberries. But I could try. We have some whipped cream cheese and some strawberries. We're gonna squish them and turn this to a nice pretty pink color. Think them girls would eat strawberries? I think they would. Wanna give her a bite? What's on your chin? Did you get chocolate on you? Oh wait, it's carob. Not chocolate. You get some peanut butter. She likes the strawberries. Alright, let's see what Eleanor thinks. Watch, this is hilarious. She's like, I don't think I... Ma'am! She's like, I got this old strawberry and I ate it. Well, that one likes strawberries. Yeah, I know you do. I saw you take a bite. What about you? Memphis is like, um... Ew, no I don't. Okay, well let's try something Memphis. Alright, how about with some dip? That's how Shelby would... Oh gee, weird. You put some cream cheese on a strawberry, Memphis will eat it. Eleanor's like, I would totally nibble. Maybe I would nibble it. The littlest tiniest nibbles. You didn't try it. I was just saying, you barely took any. No, thank you. Kira's like, I would totally take another one. Just give me the whole thing. Okay, we're gonna give it to Eleanor with a little bit of dip and see what she thinks. It's here in my hand. Do you want it with the dip? She's like, no I just like to dip some of it. You don't want it? You don't like strawberries by themselves? Alright. Oh, that little nibble. Are you sure? No. No, thank you. Maybe I'll try again. No, thank you. It's not my favorite thing. Okay. So we're actually gonna take our garlic press. We're gonna cut the top of the strawberry off and we're gonna squish a couple of them into our whipped cream cheese to turn it nice and pink. We're gonna squish the strawberry juice right in there. It'll be perfect. Would you eat like a piece of strawberry? So you eat it when it's cut up? How about you? She's gonna spit it out. There, made it pretty pink with some strawberry juice. So we now have our three mug cakes and some frosting which Memphis is gonna taste test for us. We're gonna go ahead and frost these and make them look adorable. Alright, you can see the excitement in all three. We have made strawberry carob mug cakes for dogs and now, they're gonna try them. Alright Memphis, you're first and because you're an inhaler I cut it up into little pieces for you. That is why we cut it up for you. Is that a win? The other dogs are like, where's ours? We're taking turns girls. We're taking turns. That smells good. Good stuff. You wanna try it? Take a piece over there. Give it a try. It's carob. Yeah, it's very carob. Memphis likes it. Memphis, you have some frosting on your face. You guys see it underneath? A little bit of frosting on your face there sweetheart. It's Kira's turn. We're gonna let her try it without cutting it up. We might have to cut it up for her. Can you chew it? Can you chew it there? She's like, and it's gone. She'll chew it over there. She's like, I'll chew it over here instead of on this plate. Just make a mess. That's perfectly fine. Nothing wrong with that. Kira, you got pink frosting all over the rug. She's like, I don't care. I'll clean it up. Thanks ma. Alright, it's Eleanor's turn. Ready? Leave it. Many hours later. Here, I'll put it on the rug. Oh, there you go. Is it good? You are the daintiest eater we've ever had. Okay, maybe Shelby was pretty dainty too. Nibble, nibble, nibble, nibble, nibble. Hey, but she ate the strawberry. Is that a win? She's like, you know what guys? This is pretty good. I'm just gonna take forever to eat it. That's okay.
