How to Make Old Fashioned Sour Cream Donuts š©The Best Donut Recipe!
I love old fashioned sour cream donuts! Old Fashioned donuts are by far my favorite, and they are easier to make then you might think! Yes, these are deep fried donuts, but don't let that deep fryer scare you! These donuts are soft and tender, coated in a delicious glaze, and they have that perfectly golden brown almost crispy outside, and fluffy inside! These donuts are made without yeast. They are more of a cake donut, but instead of baking them, which is boring, we deep fry them to perfection! If you have never had a sour cream donut before, you are missing out! Make these!
Ingredients:
2 1/4 Cup Cake Flour
1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Salt
1/2 cup Sugar
2 Tablespoons Shortening
2/3rd Cup Sour Cream
2 Egg Yolks
Oil for Frying
Glaze Ingredients:
3 Cups Powdered Sugar
1 1/2 Tsp Corn Syrup
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
1/3 Warm Water
