Easy Snickers Apple Salad Recipe! The Perfect Midwestern Salad!

Midwest Snickers Apple Salad Recipe! Is it a salad? Is it a dessert? In the Midwest, it’s both! Welcome back to Snow Dogs Cooking. I’m Jess, and today Jamie and I are showing you how to make a classic Midwestern staple: Snickers Apple Salad. This recipe is the ultimate "make and take" for potlucks and parties. It’s creamy, crunchy, tart, and sweet all at once. If you can cook it, so can you!

Of course, no recipe is complete without our favorite Siberian Husky kitchen helpers! Memphis, Eleanor, and Kira are all on hand to help with "quality control," especially when the apples and the Cool Whip come out. Stick around to see if the girls approve of the Granny Smith apples and who gets the best pup cup treat from the leftovers!

Ingredients
3 to 4 tart apples (Granny Smith or Golden Delicious)
5 to 6 regular-sized Snickers bars (about 10 ounces)
1 box (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
1/2 cup milk of your choice
16 oz container of whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed
Caramel sauce for drizzling (optional)

Tips and Tricks
🍏 Use a tart apple like Granny Smith to perfectly offset the sweetness of the candy and caramel.
🍫 Chill your Snickers bars in the fridge before cutting to make slicing them into bite-sized pieces much easier.
🍋 If you are prepping your apples ahead of time, toss them in a little water and lemon juice to prevent them from turning brown.
🥣 Don't throw away that empty Cool Whip container! In true Midwest fashion, wash it out and save it for your leftovers.
✨ Want to switch it up? Try using butterscotch or cheesecake flavored instant pudding instead of vanilla.
🥧 Make it a dessert dip by serving a scoop of this salad on top of a graham cracker crust.
