Taking My Dog To the VET! What is this on her Eye?
Today was a very busy and emotional day for the girls, especially Miss Memphis. We headed to the vet early this morning to get an update on that growth on her eyelid and to discuss her overall health before we hit the road for Virginia. Because of her sensitive liver levels, we have to be extremely careful with anesthesia and medications. We got some great news about a non-invasive plan involving specialized drops and cryotherapy, which makes us feel so much better about her upcoming travels!
While Memphis rested, Jamie and Greg tackled the "Winter Tetris" outside. The sun was shining beautifully—feeling like 80 degrees even though it was only 41—but the ice was still holding our trailer hostage. We had to use the winch, some serious muscle, and a bit of luck to get the trailer free from the frozen ruts. It’s all part of the preparation to make sure we can bring the huskies to see all of you at the Super Pet Expo!
We ended the day with some cozy basement vibes and a little bit of red light therapy for Memphis's joints. Seeing her happy, upside down on the "Oakley couch," and doing her nightly zoomies around the pool table reminds us why we do all of this. Life is short, and making these memories (even the stressful vet ones!) is what it’s all about.
