Delicious Reuben Egg Rolls! So Crispy!
How to make Reuben Egg Rolls ! Happy St. Patrick's Day from Snow Dogs Cooking! Today, Jess and Jamie are turning a classic Corned Beef dinner into a crispy, delicious appetizer: Reuben Egg Rolls! These are packed with savory meat, melty Swiss cheese, and our special buttery sautéed sauerkraut. Whether you choose to air fry, bake, or deep fry, these are the perfect festive treat. Plus, the Siberian Husky kitchen helpers are on hand to make sure the "Cheese Tax" is paid in full! If Jess can cook it, so can you!
Ingredients
Corned beef (or pastrami or turkey)
Swiss cheese (or Provolone or Muenster)
Egg roll wrappers
Sauerkraut (German style recommended)
Onion
Butter
Caraway seeds (optional)
Thousand Island or Russian dressing (for dipping)
Water (for sealing wrappers)
Cooking spray
Tips and Tricks
🍀 Drain and rinse your sauerkraut first to remove that sharp vinegar bite before cooking.
🍀 Sauté your onions and sauerkraut in butter with caraway seeds for a huge flavor boost that mimics marble rye bread.
🍀 Use a small bowl of water to dampen the edges of your egg roll wrappers so they seal perfectly and don't leak.
🍀 Don't put the dressing inside the egg roll! Keep it on the side for dipping to prevent them from getting mushy.
🍀 If you have leftovers, pop them back in the air fryer for about 5 minutes to get them perfectly crunchy again.
🍀 You can assemble these ahead of time and freeze them to air fry straight from frozen whenever you need a snack.
🍀 Customize your protein! Try a "Turkey Reuben" or use different white cheeses like Muenster or Provolone.
