Bake a bakery-quality, crispy-crust bread at home with only 4 ingredients—ready in about 90 minutes. This is a practical, dependable recipe for days when you want real homemade bread without kneading, folding, or an overnight rest.

Ingredients (US units):
Water: 445 ml / 15.05 fl oz / 1.85 cups
Dry yeast: 9 g / 1 tbsp (stir in water until dissolved)
Bread flour (12% protein): 600 g / 21 oz / 5 cups
Salt: 8 g / 1⅓ tsp
Method (overview):
Dissolve yeast in water.
Add flour and salt, then mix until no dry flour remains.
Cover and rest at room temperature until doubled.
Gently shape, rest again, score, and bake.
For steam, place a bowl of boiling water on the bottom of the oven.
Baking:
210°C / 410°F for 25–30 minutes (preheated)
Tip: Do not leave dry flour while mixing—if you see any, lightly wet it and mix again.
