Wendy Rogers is Professor of Clinical Ethics and Deputy Director of the Macquarie University Ethics and Agency Research Centre. She has a long-standing interest in the ethics of organ donation and transplantation and has twice served on the Australian Health Ethics Committee, taking a leading role in developing the 2007 National Health and Medical Research Council’s guidelines for organ and tissue donation, and leading the current revision of the national research ethics guidelines.
Widely published in international medical and bioethics journals, Dr. Rogers received the 2019 NHMRC Ethics award and was identified as Australia’s leading researcher in the field of bioethics. Her research exposing publication of unethical Chinese transplant research has been internationally recognized, leading to her inclusion in Nature’s list of 10 people who mattered in science in 2019 and Medscape’s 12 best physicians of the year.
