How Accurate Is FlightScope Mevo?

welcome back to the channel and welcome to me vu Mevo week I guess this is my second video this week about me though made one earlier in the week that was documenting the wedge work that I'm doing with me though and that's with range balls get a lot of questions how does this react range balls versus regular balls how accurate is it gonna take this out on the golf course play with my golf balls play a few holes zap some yardages and basically see how this thing performs relative to what a laser says what clubs I hit gonna start in the second hole here at Southampton and really put this thing to the test I like to hit 3-wood here because it's 2:30 to cover the bunker on the Left 266 to the bunker on the right and 282 to cover the bunker on the right it's always a little into the wind I have to hit driver really great to cover that bunker on the right so I like to take 3-wood right at the 150 is the bunker on the left not going to be in play if I fan it the bunker on the rice not going to be in play and if I hit it solid there's a bit of downslope so I can chase and and get let's say 270 to 300 out of a good three would believe this hole is right around 400 yards so first shot for the me though we both connect it I've selected the club of 3-wood six behind it's roughly so that was a little heavy kind of towing Kerry says 242 we get some roll so we have that reference point of the 230 bunker to see how accurate that is so he said 242 Kerry were about 270 from the teeth that was roughly 266 that bunker edge was 230 so it would have landed just a little past 150 stake which is kind of what I saw and that's an appropriate amount of roll for a little toad shot so first one don't really have sky view or anything but I think this is pretty spot-on Bushnell says I've got 135 to the flag there's not much wind here so it's just about a 3/4 pitching wedge says we're ready we're connected let's see it ok we got a little glitch there hit it like two feet niebo says twenty seven point five yards Kerry I think I might have made a mistake by start a new session so let's see what it does in the next walking up to the green not gonna be hitting any putts today this isn't about like a course vlog this is just showing shots with me bow out on a golf course not to mention our greens were just punched on Monday a couple days ago so score is obviously not the concern but hey I do walleye that I hit it two feet and thought of that shot okay I'm gonna start a new session for this one because maybe that's where I screwed up on the last one keeping the session going and having a lull between shots interference with the camera or my rangefinder who knows it's a new session like 7-iron we're ready 177 to that pin we can't see where it lands but pretty soft bunch greens we'll know so it says 181 point for I felt like I pulled it a little bit so let's go see you relative to that 177 pin so there's our flag there's my ball so it landed about let's say 178 179 obviously the the rangefinder is give or take a yard maybe what niebo was off by a yard or two there but if it told me one eighty one point four and that was a 177 flag and I kind of pulled pulled it a hair a little long a little left four yards long that's data that I'm happy with but yeah probably give or take a yard or two right for that one the fourth hole it's a shorter par-4 it's like 340 but on a straight line it's about 320 to the green to the flag I'm just gonna hit driver to see what how driver reads here with me though my line is going to be over these bunkers here nothing the driver is gonna get me in trouble and it's kind of wind I quote it we're gonna be in that bunker we'll get an idea of how far driver reads on this I have experience and when the ball speed gets above 160 165 the numbers are a little bit off with range balls so let's see what it's like with my golf ball kind of cop out a little high on the face little off the toe off there to the right in the fairway still it says carry is 270 4.4 spin is up yeah cuz I I did hit it a YP spinny ball speed 160 5.8 that's not bad smash factor obviously down because I didn't hit it solid club that speed was pretty pretty good there but the spin is obviously why I didn't get as much carry out of it I'm gonna grab my laser and ZAF to that bunker that it's kind of parallel with and we'll get great alright let's let's put it to the test okay from right here the back edge of that bunker in 283 and my ball looks like it's about parallel with that I didn't expect that to be brutally honest that's pretty spot-on 283 right here 1 2 3 5 6 7 8 9 this is where it says I'm carrying about roughly here there's my ball about 11 yards of roll it is got a bit of a downslope it is kind of firmer here so I believe that that seems pretty pretty accurate nine yards this is not where I want to be if I were playing this haul actually set an Evo up there but this is a perfect because this is what I want to use Nebo to work on the most I've got a tough to pin I'm gonna have to kind of float this up high but have it spin so 69 yards knowing this green the way I do if I landed anywhere from 62 to like 72 I'll be okay cuz if I landed up by that flag it should land softer if I landed short it'll bounce up to it so I'm connected start a new session rain is coming so I think this will be the last shot got a good test of all kinds of areas with this with real golf ball select my club okay so 69 yards into the wind okay lie so I've I said I want to win this anywhere 62 to 70 to 64 to 72 so let's see how how how me Bo does here let's see how I do so carry 50 7.3 I think that's pretty accurate without a little underneath it so I think it landed short but it's gonna be in the rough just short I don't think I've had enough to bounce onto the green but 57 yards at 69 so let's see if those twelve yards are 57 yards probably about right here bounce pretty softly there this was my line about here so let's let's pace this off 11 so that's as accurate as you can ask for and that's exactly why I'll be using this Mevo a law in my practice is wedges short irons long irons it's not really your driver 3 what it's not really that important for me but I hope this video these five shots varying shots one screw up by me showing that there can be human error or machine error from time I hope this open
