pretty poor tournament in Greensboro
last week I've got two weeks until my
next event actually it's a string of
event I'm gonna play three two day
events over the course of eight days
eight or nine days up in North Carolina
around the state so I've got two weeks
to really tidy things up last week even
when I played Pinehurst when I played at
Greensboro my wedges were just bad so
that's what we're doing right now gonna
work incredibly hard smart thorough
purposeful on my wedges and I'm gonna
use flight scope Mevo to really help me
dial in this practice I'm gonna get the
data from it and use it to kind of hold
me accountable
[Music]
out here my driving range I'm fortunate
I have a lot of steaks like a lot of
yardages a lot of targets and yeah
that's that's great I can I can zap them
I can try to hit the post but just the
way that this fare this terrain rolls
I've never really seen where it lands at
all of them so what I'm gonna do is I'm
gonna set up the me bow and give myself
kind of a ladder to climb 50 yards 60
yards seven yards 80 yards 90 yards and
10 ball increments basically a 2-3 yard
buffer on each side of where I need to
land it if I'm trying to hit 50 yards I
land at 48 to say 52 that's a pass if I
don't land it in that kind of four-issue
yard window that's a fail so I'm gonna
hit 10 shots at each yardage see how
many I can pass see how many I can fail
and then I have kind of a baseline for
my practice as I progress over these
next two weeks preparing for the events
so I'm connected start a new session
pick the club up wedge ready speaks to
me so the first yardage I'm gonna go I'm
gonna start at 60 yards so I have to
land this
it could be two and a half yards on you
just either it's either side of 60 for a
pass but don't fail so 10 shop
64 yards too far
sixty four point nine too far
9.1 I'm remembering what that fifty nine
point one felt like and that's what I'm
trying to draw on now the remainder
seven shot seven point two not enough
yeah I've got a good feel so it's just a
matter of emulating that and the feel I
have right now is in my body and I don't
really go by how much they take it back
I go by how fast I move my core through
it
[Music]
well did I want a bit so
that's seven shots
that's been shot there ten shots I'm
actually got I got seven the first two
were too much and then there was one in
the middle that was too short of fifty
yards but then when I looked through the
data here I know I can look at the club
head to be remember I said it's just it
I feel kind of how hard I moved through
it
those first two I had too far club head
speed was up 65 66 but then all the ones
that were good for right around 61 63
miles per hour so the speed was a little
down the yardage was a little down and
the one that was too low the speed was
like fifty eight point seven so
obviously a little too low so that's how
I hit my wedges it's about speed and
when I'm playing and when I'm struggling
or when I don't trust a shot I get
really quick in transition so the speed
speeds up and that's why I often hit my
wedges a little long and a little left I
can learn from this data very easily
what I need to do to keep being solid
and yardage so we've shown 60 our
yardage that I really struggle with it's
about 80 yards so we'll do the ladder at
E and see just just how I do ten balls
set up there
this blue post as my target visually
that's what I'm thinking that should be
a pretty stalk 3/4
I said my speed gets out of out of whack
where I struggle
[Music]
seventy nine point three second one
little down came off in a bit but having
the data from the first lock at sixty to
show me what speed 60 yards felt like
and it really easy to jump up to eighty
because I know just speed it up
accordingly I know I take it back a
little further but I just speed it up
announce that first one was was spot-on
little long there just hit that hit that
really solid but right away through
three shots you can see this is an area
I struggle with so this is an area that
I need to work on
back on track I just need to feel moving
at the same speed and same sequence ease
my wedge play I get a little steep and
the upper body this race is faster then
it's just a game of saving the game of
catch-up I feel like I'm moving at the
same speed feel like I'm in control
so through five we got three what I'm
learning from this I'm turning this
information into feel you know I'm
learning is I this when I was warming up
to practicing last week in Greensboro it
was giving me information but I was just
kind of taking the information as
opposed to learning from the information
that guy was just like absorbing I
whereas now I'm figuring out how to
absorb this information and turn it into
my work
came out of that one a little bit
hey two balls laughs chunked it that's a
fail see that's a loss of my focus and
[Music]
okay good finish but now if I look at
the last ten how do we do two three four
five six with six out of ten like I said
this area this zone is a little more of
a struggle for me so I need to put more
work into it at least I know what the
right shot feels light and I have
evidence to show that this is how I'm
gonna be using my Mevo this is amazing
like there's so many great benefits from
this and I hope you're seeing firsthand
this is a very information heavy video I
don't know if I've ever made a video
like this so I hope you're enjoying this
I hope you've enjoyed this give it a
thumbs up let me know if you like this
you said the videos this is a deep look
into my practice so I'm gonna get back
to work now turn the camera off and keep
doing this I've got this ladder to climb
I can do it at 20 yards 30 I can do it
all over go to the short-game green and
work on how I'm carrying each shot it's
great I'm gonna take the needle out on
the course as well this week and make a
video about that just you can see this
how accurate it is subscribe if you
haven't subscribe and I'll see you in
the next video
