STOP Installing Your Gas Pedal Here! Common Coyote Swap Mistake | 67-79 Ford F100

Here's the thing about gas pedal placement—most people get it wrong. They install it too low on the firewall and then wonder why their foot feels cramped and uncomfortable. In this video, Jason breaks down exactly how to install our FFG Coyote pedal mount for 67-79 Ford trucks so you get the ergonomics right the first time.

We've refined this pedal bracket over the years based on customer feedback. It's slimmed down, easier to install with pin nuts already in place, and works with both Mustang-style and truck-style pedals (perfect if you're running a Godzilla motor or just prefer the truck pedal feel).

The key? You want the top half of your toe hitting the bottom half of the pedal—not your whole foot covering the thing. Jason explains why positioning matters based on your shoe size, how much carpet clearance you actually need (3/4" to 1" minimum), and what to do if you mess up the placement. Test fit it first, tape it up if you need to, and take your time before drilling holes. This is your custom truck after all.

What's Covered in This Video:
Jason walks through why seat position matters when installing your pedal, the most common mistake people make (mounting too low), how to adjust placement for different shoe sizes, proper clearance for carpet and padding, what to do if you screw up the installation, and some clever workarounds and modifications if you need to move things around after the fact.
