Throwing it back to when Merlow was completely finished and ready to head home. This 1956 Ford F100 small window build is truly something special, and even though this video was filmed months ago right before delivery, we wanted to share the full walkthrough with you guys. The owner's been enjoying this beast out in San Antonio for a while now, tearing up the streets just like we knew he would.

This slammed '56 is sitting about 4 inches off the ground on a Porterbuilt chassis because we want nothing but the best for our customers. Corners like it's on rails with the comfort and reliability you'd expect. Wilwood brakes, Currie rear end, all the bells and whistles underneath to make this thing handle like a dream.

Build Specs:
Gen 3 Coyote crate motor with 10-speed automatic transmission and Whipple 3.0L supercharger pushing 750 horsepower. This thing runs and drives incredible—we put 1,000 miles on it before delivery to make sure everything was dialed in.

BASF custom paint in a dark burgundy/wine color with pearl that changes depending on the light. Goes real dark in the shade but has this bright cherry look when the sun hits it. Body shop killed it on this one.

Widened front fenders and mini tubs in the bed to fit the meaty Michelin tires. Running 245/40/20s up front and 345/30/20s out back on AG Luxury three-piece wheels with dark finish.

GT-inspired front end modifications with custom lighting. Carbon fiber mirrors that we helped design instead of the traditional swan mirrors.

Rocket ship style tail lights for that early 50s look. Custom billet arms hiding all the fasteners with wiring routed clean through the body.

Roll pan with built-in diffuser and billet Cerakote coated exhaust tips.

Mahogany wood bed from Costa Rica with character grain and a custom finish that fades from red to charcoal to match the paint. Furniture grade craftsmanship.

2018 Mustang GT powered seats with Ferrari-inspired upholstery done in-house. Gray stripe detail carried through the door panels and center console lid.

10-inch Sony display, Dakota Digital gauges, RestoMod AC, Sparc Industries leather-wrapped steering wheel, and custom GT100 floor mats.

Push button start, parking brake, all the modern conveniences in a classic package.

This 1956 F100 small window build proves you don't need a big window to build something incredible. Small windows are cool too, and they don't get as hot in the cabin. Everything on this truck was done in-house at Fat Fender Garage except powder coating—chassis design, fabrication, body work, paint, upholstery, electrical, all of it. That's how we control the quality and bring the vision to life from beginning to end.
