One Shop Built All 50 Of These Coyote Swapped F100s
Spencer found over 50 Coyote swapped Ford F100s at the Grand National F100 Show in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee — and every single one was built by the same shop. Smith Motorsports out of Cleveland, Tennessee has done over 120 Coyote swaps, mostly on 67-72 bumpsides, and they brought a small army of them to the show this year.
We featured Chris Smith at the F100 Supernationals a couple years ago — watch that here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fh-F-HnJSdo
Spencer walks the corner breaking down what makes Smith Motorsports' approach different. These aren't half-million-dollar SEMA trucks. They're built on stock frames with stock twin I-beam suspension, drop beams to get them sitting right, and Coyote power that actually fits without major fabrication. Reliable, drivable, AC working, customer turns the key and goes home. That's the point.
What started as Chris swapping a buddy's truck turned into neighbors, then friends, then a full-time business. Five years in, over 100 trucks deep, and the customer list keeps growing through word of mouth.
Every truck in this group is running FFG motor mounts. Smith Motorsports uses our Coyote Swap Motor Mount Kit on their builds, along with our steering linkage and shift lever kits. We make Coyote swap motor mount kits across multiple F100 year ranges, so whether you've got a bumpside, dentside, or something earlier, there's a kit for your truck.
If you're in Tennessee and looking for a budget-conscious Coyote swap on a bumpside, look up Smith Motorsports in Cleveland, TN.
