Will Witt Asks if We Should Ban "Hate Speech" | Man on the Street

what's up guys this is will with from prageru today we're in playa vista talking to people about censorship do you think hate speech should be censored um i do and i believe that everything should be to an extent it's hard to set boundaries when there's a lot of different things that we can be talking about it's hard to specify do you think that hate speech should be censored uh i do do you think that hate speech should be censored no i think that i mean i think people have the right to their opinion if you're offending me right now should that be censored um that would be considered hate speech to me yeah it would be but um i don't know hate speech i feel like that's anybody who's negative like anybody whose intentions or who's uh basically whose intentions aren't pure this is a free country so i mean everyone's opinion should be known but i think it gets to a point where it can be a little vulgar whatever affects people in a negative way i think should be censored just because there is so much hate in the world right now that that should not be going on i guess what if i say like i hate women on facebook should that be allowed or should they be able to choose i think that should see that particular example should be allowed um be ready for the for the hate you know the hate comments look if someone says i hate black people like you know i i i'm not comfortable or i'm not happy to see it but that's different than like go kill black people you know i mean i i don't want the second the latter to be encouraged the former it's an it's unfortunate but whatever who do you think should define what hate speech is um i think uh educators i think educators should um put together a global think tank almost like a u.n think tank who decides what in what is in hate speech um it seems like there's a line there is a line but i feel like it's hard to set that line when everyone has a personal belief of what they consider offensive exactly
