Gen Z, people born from 1997 to 2012, is now the youngest generation which includes adults. As the first generation to be saturated in the digital world throughout childhood, this group of young people faces peculiar challenges. Because of poor self-esteem, poor faith in the American dream, and few incentives to work, “Zoomers” are likely to have a lower quality of life than previous generations.

Adding to this problem is the concerning trend of increasing prescription of narcotics to young people. With little to no scientific evidence to back it up, ADHD diagnoses have become an epidemic in this country, with personality traits being treated by lifelong addiction to psychotropics. As a member of Gen Z, 22-year-old Tiffany Brannan gives her personal observations of how her peers are being brainwashed into behaving certain ways, both socially and chemically.
