The Tu-160 "White Swan" strategic bomber developed by Russia's Tupolev Design Bureau and the B-1B Lancer strategic bomber developed by Rockwell of the United States are the two largest supersonic strategic bombers in the world. They are the products of the Cold War era when the Soviet Union and the United States fought for hegemony and became the "mainstay" of the air strategic attack of the two countries. They have a number of similar features, starting with a very similar appearance, with variable swept-back wings, cross-tail fins, and a four-engine design. In particular, the top view is so similar that it's almost impossible to tell apart. Tu-160 is like a big B-1B, and the B-1B is like a small Tu-160. Because of their similar height in appearance, there was a long debate about whether the two bombers were American copies of the Soviet Union, or whether the Soviet Union stole American design information.
俄羅斯圖波列夫設計局研製的圖-160“白天鵝”戰略轟炸機和美國羅克韋爾研製的B-1B“槍騎兵”戰略轟炸機是目前全球最大的兩款超音速戰略轟炸機。它們都是蘇美爭霸冷戰時期的產物，成爲兩國空中戰略打擊的“中流砥柱”。它們有着很多相似的特點，首先外觀上就長得非常相似，均採用了可變後掠翼、十字型尾翼和四發佈局的設計。尤其是俯視圖極爲相像，幾乎很難分辨出來。圖-160就像是大號的B-1B，而B-1B也可以說是小號的圖-160。也正是因爲在外型上的高度相仿，很長一段時間來關於兩款轟炸機到底是美國抄襲了蘇聯、還是蘇聯竊取了美國設計資料的問題一直被爭論不休！
