LMFS adopts part of miG 1.44 technology, with a sweep Angle of 17° from the leading edge of the air intake to the main wing, 42° from the leading edge of the main wing, and 17° of tail tilt. The use of composite materials in the whole machine is nearly 50%, and the structural weight accounts for 20-40% of the dead weight. The nose landing gear is dual-wheel, without the use of a frame free cockpit cover.The cockpit is equipped with a digital multifunction display, and the pilot also has a helmet display that allows him to turn his head to aim at a target, and an eyepiece displays flight information.The ejection seat is a Red Star K-36D-5, which can calculate the flight status before and after ejection, adjust the attitude, and improve the survival rate of the pilot.The onboard radar is an AESA with hydraulic rods attached to the rear that rotate horizontally and vertically, reducing blind spots.The radar has a low detectable mode with a maximum air tracking range of 200-250 km and can track 10 targets and attack 8 of them.The tracking range is 170 km for cruise missiles and 90 km for ground targets.The onboard weapons are RVV-SA and R-73 air-to-air missiles, a 30mm GSH-301 gun, and four outposts under the wings.
LMFS使用了米格1.44的部分技術，進氣口前緣到主翼部分後掠角17°，主翼前緣後掠角42°，尾翼外傾17°，整機複合材料使用量近50%，結構重量佔空重的20-40%，前起落架爲雙輪式，沒有采用無框駕駛艙蓋。駕駛艙配數字多功能顯示器，飛行員亦配有頭盔顯示器，可以轉頭瞄準目標，目鏡上也會顯示飛行信息。彈射座椅爲紅星K-36D-5型，彈射前後可以計算飛行狀態，調整姿態，提高飛行員生存率。 機載雷達是AESA，後部連接有液壓桿，可以在水平和垂直方向上轉動，減小盲區。雷達具備低可探測模式，最大對空追蹤距離200-250千米，可追蹤10個目標並攻擊其中8個。對巡航導彈追蹤距離170千米，對地面目標追蹤距離90千米。機載武器爲RVV-SA和R-73空空導彈，一門30毫米GSH-301航炮，翼下還有4個外掛點。
