Taiwan's "earthquake plan", which has been struggling for more than six years, has not been pushed forward. According to a Taiwanese think tank, the Taiwan Navy will temporarily shelve its plan to build a new generation of 4,500-ton frigates and instead build eight 2000-2,500-ton corvettes to quickly form an immediate combat capability. For the prototype of a new generation of missile frigates, code-named Project Shakhai, the entire construction plan may be moved back and the configuration may change.

臺灣地區掙紮6年有余的「震海計劃」遲遲沒有推進，有臺灣智庫爆料稱，臺灣海軍將暫時擱置4500噸級的新一代護衛艦建造計劃，並建造2000至2500噸級的輕型巡防艦8艘「取而代之」，以快速形成即戰力。而代號「震海計劃」的新一代導彈護衛艦原型艦，整個建造計劃可能往後挪，構型也可能改變。
