An Adagio in F Minor is the second movement of the sonata. It is Mozart's only piano sonata with a minor-key slow movement. Although it is not marked as such, the movement is a siciliana. Mozart would later return to this in the slow movement of his A major Piano Concerto (K.488). The mood of this movement is reflective and sentimental.
