Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Piano Sonata No. 14 in C Minor, K457, was composed and completed in 1784, with Mozart's own catalogue officially recording the completion date as 14 October 1784. That was 239 years ago. And the music is as enchanting and wonderful as ever. It is a beautiful work. The Piano Sonata No. 14 in C minor is only one of two sonatas Mozart wrote in a minor key, he was very deliberate about his choice of key.

The scenery is set near the Sustenpass in Switzerland. From the small lake at the top of the pass in the parking area you can walk to the hilltop where Christian shot the mist. You can still see a bit of the Steingletscher glacier in the top left of the picture. On this particular day, it was getting very cold in the evening. The cold wind was blowing in every crevice. Sometimes the fog would overtake us. Then there was no wind and it got much darker. You could hardly see a few metres ahead. It was an experience to remember.
